Man, Anthro popped the sale items up 5 minutes early this time. I was scoping out something and checked my cart and everything was already marked down at 11:55pm :p. Kim – I'm a petite size 0, 32B & I could barely zip up the 0 in the Cooling Palette, I'd def. have to take a 2, but you might have to go another size up w/a more endowed chest. I love the title of the sale post Roxy! The sale & FS definitely won the battle over my wallet 😛 I ended up getting the Filtered Rays Blouse & ordered the Time Gone By dress since my size was almost gone. We'll see if they work!

Hi Roxy,I bite the bullet on the gilded lily skirt, and the wafting pewter wedges. Thank you for posting, btw. I would never have noticed those wedges if it wasn't for your weekly sales updates.I've tried the skirt on in stores, and it seems to be a good bet for a sale. It runs really, really small–by one, if not two sizes (there's absolutely no stretch). I love the design and the fabric, but the cut is difficult to work with. I have a boyish figure and it seems to work, but you might need to fiddle with sizing (and possibly a tailor) if you are curvier.
I returned a Cartography Cardigan in a small to the Burlington, MA store this weekend. Not sure if it's still there, but it may be worth a shot.

I went to the old orchard anthro [(847) 673-0721] today and was sooo lucky to get 2 items that I really wanted: the cartography cardigan in a small and the blue clinging blossoms cardigan in a medium! There were a couple clinging blossoms cardigans there in each color but I forgot the sizes. I know I tried on a medium in the grey one. I also have a small blue clinging blossoms cardigan on hold at the highland park store if anybody wants that.Also, I was wondering why everyone was drooling over the airmail skirt and I know why! Allie and any others who got lucky with PA's on their cartography cardigans, I haven't been so lucky…i called the store i ordered it from, asked the girl about a PA. she seemed clueless and said someone would have to call me back. I mentioned I was charged $12 for shipping that I wasn't told about and she basically gave me a lot of attitude. Just wanted to let you know that the Downtown Austin store had plenty (more than 10) Seabound skirts (I remember someone was looking for one recently) and also the Aniseed skirt (full price) in sizes 0, 2 and 10.
I called the Greensboro, NC store today to order the Cartography cardigan. The manager I spoke to was really nice but took forever to find the cardigan. I was put on hold for a long time. The woman who actually processed my order had no idea what the hell she was doing and was not nice at all. If you see the cardigan somewhere else I'd recommend buying it elsewhere.

Can I retract my previous post?The employees at the store are new (the one I'm actually one phone with is reading the manual). I got a PA for the cardigan and am getting refunded for my $12 shipping costs. She gave me a word of advice… go into the store and have the do a charge send to be sure shipping is waived. That is definitely what I will be doing from now on!I hope everything works out for everyone else this sale day also. I picked up the dewbud tee and the cherry juice heels (which I hope will fit)!

I really wish anthro would just set up the "rules" of how to order and all that. i'm on the phone with the SA now and I'm hoping she figures how to refund the money!i think it just depends a lot on the SA that picks up the phone.

Oh, and as for the shipping, my receipt said shipping was waived because the store is less than 100 miles away, while the person who took my original order at the store said they would waive shipping because it was sold out at my store. Brittany B – re: your PA for a popback question…I have had good luck just about every time I've taken a popback to my store to get a PA. I just bring in the item and the receipt, explain that I just bought it last week (or whenever it was within the PA timeframe) and ask what the in-store price was. Once they tell me, I ask if I can get a PA to that price. Just about every time I've done this, I've received some sort of PA. One time it was a $50 PA! Oftentimes, the really old items have been marked down to $9.95 (as you have discovered yourself!)My good luck faltered today though. I took a popback I bought last week (from Jan. 09 catalog I think) in today to get a PA and the SA said that the top wasn't showing up in their system. I asked what that meant and she said that means that they wouldn't try to sell it – they would just "send it back" – and therefore she couldn't/wouldn't give me any sort of PA. So, now I have to decide whether I like it enough to keep it at the sale price I got it for (but it most likely had a 2nd (or more) cut that I can't seem to get), try again at another Anthro, or to return it.Anyways, good luck getting your PA's. 🙂

Diana Draw: I don't usually check Overstock so I have no idea if other old Anthro items have been listed on the site in the past. I think Anthro probably buys generic items from somewhere else and then brands the items themselves (so they can charge us "Anthro prices"). So we're probably not getting Anthro overstocks but rather generic company's overstocks. You won't get Anthro-labelled clothing, but at that price who cares! Certainly not me 🙂

Ok, so I had to share what I heard at my local Anthro today. I overheard a couple of sales associates talking about another supposedly big sale coming up this month. Apparently, they were trying to decide whether they should buy some sale items now or wait until the next big sale coming up. It kind of seemed like this upcoming sale was around the corner. Anybody here anything like that?

However, I did get my birthday discount in the mail, and used it over a phone order (I live in HI where there isn't an Anthro store) and got a TONNN of stuff. thehalcyonlife – I am so sorry to hear about your bad experience. 🙁 When I am in need of a PA I try to call during off-peak hours as I find the staff is usually more lenient than if I call during a busy hour, i.e. lunch. Awesome Roxy you got the Endless Chevron Dress unfortunately I missed out on it. I stayed away from the sales today but I was so lucky today I grabbed the side by side flats in my size at the Aventura Anthro – visiting family now -, I never paid attention to them but when I saw and tried them it was <3. The SA told me everyone wanted them but no one could fit them, I guess it was my lucky day.Someone just mentioned there were some Airmail Skirts at the Lincoln Road Anthro (Miami, Fl) and Cincinati you could check them out and see if they still do. I also saw at the Aventura Anthro 2 XS and 1 S cartography cardis, I saw an Ablaze dress can't remember the size but it was 0 or 2, lots of Salty Seas Dresses, 1 Spilling Ruffles Cardigan in Lilac (can't remember the size).
A general charge send question:I've done a charge send previously by calling a store directly for an item. This morning the lovely CS rep I spoke to gave me the option of calling the store myself or having the charge send arranged by CS. I opted for the latter since it was pretty early and I wasn't quite awake yet :). Anyway, she explained the whole cancelled order bit under my account to get things started and said I'd receive an email if my charge send was successful or if they were unable to find my item. Does anyone know how long that email usually takes to arrive and what kind of info it usually contains? Is it like the usual receipt with shipping info and possibly which store it's coming from? Or just a generic message that says things worked/didn't work and you just wait to see what shows up on your doorstep? Just curious! Thanks in advance 🙂

PWS:If CS does the charge send for you, it could take up to 48 hours until you receive a confirmation email. This is because someone from CS has to personally contact the store(s) that may have it available. Since there is a longer lag time letting CS do the charge & send for you compared with you calling the store yourself, there is a possibility you may not get the item you want since many of us Anthro Addicts like to purchase on sale days ;)In my experience, I received an email within 24 hours. It just depends on how busy they are and how many customers they have to help.
@ pws – Last week I called CS on a MONDAY for a charge send item, a belt. She started rambling off stores that showed it in stock, and because it was Monday (inventory is done Sunday) I was feeling good about it and let them manage it. I was told I'd get an email 24-72 hours. I waited 24, got nervous and called. Nothing. They saw the order but no news. I waited 48 hours. Still nothing. They explained that they post the order and stores contact THEM to fill it as opposed to CS calling the stores. I don't know if this is accurate? Anyway, I finally got an email after 72 hours canceling my order. It was a super generic email. I called CS again, found 2 stores maybe had the belt and lucky for me, one did. Moral of the story – I will NEVER let CS handle a charge send again. I wasn't charged for shipping by the store (woot woot, Durham NC you rock).Hopefully your order will go off without a hitch. The belt I was looking for had been on sale for awhile and was tough to track down.
Additionally, if they were not able to find the item for you, you will receive a simple email stating they were not able to locate it for you.If they did, you will get an email confirming the item was found. You can call CS to ask which store it is coming from and contact the store directly for a tracking number.

Roxy, I bought a white billards hall henley yesterday and I think it runs TTS. It is cute on and I thought not too sheer with a nude colored bra – but I am very small up top. This is really going to be very long shot, but has anyone seen the "two paths trench" in a size 0 (maybe even a 2) anywhere? Also by the way I saw a size 6 of the two paths trench in the Santana Row, San Jose store this past Tuesday.

@Amy (1:59pm)I actually think you should size up in the Clinging Blossoms Cardi for the most comfortable fit. I usually have no problems with XS cardis but the XS for this one is comically small and I'm a 5'4"/XS/0/100lb. I tried on the S and liked the fit of that the best :).BTW, I remember some ladies on the look out for navy Clinging Blossoms Cardis — there were plenty at the Anthro in Carlsbad, CA, all sizes except XS maybe.
@ Ally: did you size up on your Cartography cardi? I have the medium but I normally wear a small. The bust area fits well but the arms are loose. I wonder if I take my normal size this would not be an issue. If you're returning your Small maybe you can put it on hold for me? Thanks!

I got the small because it was the only one left and it fit, but I decided to size up just so I can be able to to layer better. I can definitely put the small on hold for you! What name do you want it under?

I think someone here was looking for the 19.95 Amarena sweater dress. As of noon Central, The Woodfield store in IL had a bunch in blue – no xs, but at least some small's and mediums, not sure about larger sizes. Also a small purple, but I think someone stretched it out really badly, because was at least 2 inches longer than the small blue I was looking at, and was way too big on me (I'm a xs/s).

Jessica–I swear I saw a Two Paths Trench today in a size 0 tucked in the back corner of the sale room, like all the way at the end of the cardigan/jacket section. I was at the Anthro in North Brunswick, NJ. I also might have seen one at the Short Hills Anthro yesterday, not sure of the size. Good luck!

Yay, I got my PA on my Cartography Cardigan! Stopped by my local store and had no trouble whatsoever, even though I'd bought it as a charge-send from another store. I didn't have enough time to provide a report on the sale racks, but I see someone else has a newer report on my store anyway. I did order the the Paisley Swoop tank and the Rose Mallow tank, but I think I'm going to return the Rose Mallow tank and hope for a 2nd cut — it doesn't seem to be selling well, does it?, and I'm not really sure I need a row of roses, an empire waist seam and gold thread emphasizing the C-cups. **JENNALYNN**i'll tell you what i do to get rid of the auctions that come with an anthro gift, earrings, etc. this is an example of how i search:anthropologie (dresses, skirts, sweaters) -gift, -earrings, -soapi type that exactly above into the ebay search and save it! i have several variations of that above too that i can just click and search and it weeds out what i don't want to see 😀 hope my rambling makes sense to you!also…i have found that if the seller has a good rating, i'm am usually very pleased with what i recieve (i have a nearly 1000 feedback and have luckily only had a couple issues when buying) i just open an ebay case and it has been resolved quickly! if you have anymore questions feel free to ask, i don't mind! have a great day :0)♥Meg
