It’s here, it’s here! One of this community’s favorite Black Friday promos is once again happening a week early. Today all day in select stores, and for 4 hours online tonight, Free People is offering 20% off purchases of $250-$499 and 25% off purchases of $500+. At Free People, it’s very easy to cross that $500 threshold. My shopping cart can attest to that!
What will you purchase during this semi-annual promo? Will it be a special dress like the Starlight Mini Dress ($250, above and also in the prettiest light green)? Something from Free People’s new curvy jeans collection? A beautiful piece of jewelry? A gift for a special someone or a few?
I’ve got a few new ideas to share and then I hope you’ll share what you get in the comments!
Let’s begin with some Free People gift ideas for others, because tis the season, right? Free People has a spectacular gift section stocked with tons of great ideas. I particularly enjoy the more out there stuff for my friends and for gift exchanges. I love the smiles people have when they open something so unexpected!
With that in mind, some of my top gift ideas at Free People include things like the Ritual Kits ($20, above). These are pretty ideal for tween and young teen girls going through that inevitable witchcraft phase. Spitfire Girls, the brand responsible for these, has some great packaging that lends itself to gifting. I’m also all about their Potion Collection Perfume ($48) with product art featuring Egyptian gods and goddesses. (Who wouldn’t want to receive a perfume called ‘Seduction Potion‘??) Their Bath Salts ($36) in White Floral come highly recommended.
Another beauty brand I love that is great for gifting is Monta. Their Red Rock Clay Facial Mask ($32) is incredible for pulling dirt out of pores. My beauty maven friends are crazy about it and the Joshua Tree Desert Mist ($25). Spray this on your face in the afternoon to refresh. I myself really like their Aromatherapy Roller ($17), particularly in echo canyon scent. It smells like beautiful fresh air with just a hint of rainy moisture.
Finally, Lano has amazing lip, face and skin care. I personally use Lanolips during the Winter to keep my face fresh. For gifting, I recommend the Lanolips Lemonaid Lip treatment ($15), the Banana Balm Lip Sheen 3-in-1 ($16) and the Tinted Balm ($14).
Of course, gifts don’t just have to be beauty. The Free People 2018 Black Friday promo has so many gorgeous sweaters, and especially cardigans, that anyone who lives in a real Winter would be delighted to have! If anyone wants to buy me the Fringe Sweater Jacket ($850) I’m all for that! I’ll snap myself out of that dream long enough to point out some more practical choices like the Cozy Cabin Cardi Sweater ($168, above in cream), the well-named Irreplaceable Cardi ($128), the deliciously chunky Bonfire Cardi ($128) and the Ribbed Up Maxi Cardigan ($128) which is best for warmer days or areas with less frigid Winters.
Some other great gift ideas include jewelry and Free People gift cards. If you want more ideas, Free People has a great page with ideas under $100, or check out their entire gift section. Don’t forget to also enter the Free People Win Your Wishlist contest if you haven’t already!!
Finally, I will not judge you one bit if you use the Free People 2018 Black Friday promo to buy some things for yourself! I certainly plan to. Right now the priciest item in my cart is the Send Me A Postcard Dress ($550, above in peppermint and also available in a lovely lilac). It is the perfect dress for a Botanical Gardens Christmas party I attend every year, and 25% off would certainly help make the price more digestible!
However if I get this dress it would be my entire promo purchase. And that’s hard, because I have sooooooooo much more on my wishlist that I’d love to get!
