EXPRESS DOES COLORS LIKE NO ONE ELSE.

So few clothing retailers are doing rich and bold colors right now. I have no idea why that is, but it makes me ever more grateful for Express! They tend to offer lots of colors in unexpected and delightful ways.

Many stores might offer a faux leather jacket in black, brown and maybe red. Express offers a fantastic faux leather moto jacket in five colors and a notch-collar moto jacket in 14 colors! During this sale both jackets are under $100. I’ve seen many of these colors in person and they’re downright droolworthy.

Is it too much for one person to own a moto jacket in 4 colors? Asking for a friend.

It’s not just the faux leather stuff that comes in great colors either. Express’s sweaters are full of great color combinations! So many great striped pieces in yellow and black, or blues, reds and blacks working together. During this promotion I took the plunge on several including the Striped Shirttail Hem Sweater (now $36), the Striped Bateau Neck Fitted Sweater (now $30), the Off The Shoulder Wedge Tunic Sweater (now $36) and two colorways of the Striped Ribbed Bateau Neck Sweater (now $30). The cropped sweaters will look great over high-waisted skirts while the longer sweaters will do well over jeans or pants.

All of Express’s items run through seamless color palettes that make building tone-on-tone outfits easy. Here are two super cute examples I just saw in-store: 1 | 2.

Right now they’re big on greens, mauve, teals and reds, with pops of yellow and pink. This is in addition to the normal neutrals like white, black, navy and grey. You’ll see plenty of color throughout this post and in the shoppable boutiques at the bottom.

EXPRESS HAS A GOOD PULSE ON TRENDS.

Express has tons of leopard items. If I didn’t already own a leopard coat I’d be buying this one. Unsure about leopard? Dip your toes in with a belt or pair of boots. You also can’t go wrong with a cute leopard bag.

Beyond leopard, Express carries trendy well in its denim department. Things like camo and ripped jeans seem almost standard now. Express goes beyond those touch points into super of-the-moment items like the High Waisted Split Hem Denim Perfect Ankle Leggings (now $53) or the High Waisted Side Stripe Denim Perfect Ankle Leggings (now $53). I also see great takes on trends like the High Waisted Raw Hem Perfect Curves Ankle Leggings (now $53) and the High Waisted Two-Tone Stretch Ankle Jean Leggings (now $48). The two-tone jeans made it into my order!
