Eye Candy: Anthropologie March 2014 Lookbook

Anthropologie’s March 2014 lookbook has a much softer feeling than its recent predecessors and that is a very good thing in my mind. There are a few complete outfits I adore and if not the whole look than at least pieces. It’s nice to be inspired by a catalogue again! Although some of the pieces continue to defy logic to me, mostly this month has beautiful photos and showcases the clothing nicely.

The catalogue link is not yet live on Anthro’s website. Over on Anthropologie’s official blog you can watch a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot in Morocco. Inside, a look at several more preview shots and a couple of items I like that didn’t make the lookbook cut. What do you think of Anthro’s newest arrivals?

Striped Raffia Heels ($188), Mint Tea Ring ($98).
I guess these huge peplum tops are going to be a thing for Anthropologie for awhile.
Love the print but it’s wholly impractical (and possibly impossible) for me to wear.
Talassemtane Maxi Dress ($128), Viera Woven Sandals ($68), Nomad Necklace ($248).
You already know I love this dress!
I ended up deciding on a small in the dress — full review soon.
Enduring Lace Scoopneck ($88), Courtyard Heels ($158).
Beautiful shot, even if the clothing becomes almost background.
A closer shot of the Enduring Lace Scoopneck ($88) and Cloudbank Scarf ($118).
Soft, neutral, feminine tones.
Although I’d never want this to be all Anthropologie does, they’ve done it very well here.
Roselle Peasant Top ($98), Palmeraie Necklace ($88), Pilcro Hyphen Chino Shorts ($58).
Another gorgeous photo. The top looks beautiful and I am no fan of peasant tops
so that’s saying something! The necklace is also intriguing me.
Teahouse Dress ($148), Vendredi Bib Necklace ($58), Mosaic Stones Bracelet ($38).
I tried this dress on and it runs large — I took a 4 instead of a 6. Full review soon.
Sania Tank ($68), Oak Moon Necklace ($178), Tiled Wide-Legs ($118),
Sahara Cuff ($158), Ruru Colorblock Heels ($345).
This top pains me.
This 80s graphic tee renaissance is killing me, but the skirt looks amazing.
Free People carries a very similar pant — interesting to see Anthro jump on that wagon.
I love the vibe of this outfit.
A fascinating print in a black-white-yellow palette that I adore!
Umm, gorgeous.

In addition to all the beautiful catalogue shots, here are a couple of new arrivals that caught my eye.

Somehow Anthropologie has made me fall in love with these brilliant botanical maxis.
Anchor Tee ($78).
A graphic tee I can get on board with.

What do you think of this month’s catalogue? What new arrivals are you buying, wishlisting or denying?
