Anthropologie’s beautiful, aspirational vintage jewelry line

Perhaps inspired by their recent accessories store debut, Anthropologie has unveiled a vintage jewelry collection sure to make any adornment lover swoon. Anthro teamed up with New York jewelers Doyle & Doyle to select a beautiful assortment of intricate jewelry. The collection is now available online as part of the For the Collector section of Anthropologie’s website.

Fashionista and Racked NY had the scoop last week.

From Fashionista:
It’s a new section of Anthropologie’s website where shoppers can find antique estate and artisan jewelry. Hand-selected by Anthropologie and Doyle & Doyle’s buyers, each piece is unique–styles represented include Victorian, Edwardian, art deco and more.

The site will regularly feature 10 to 20 pieces of jewelry, and will be replenished with different pieces as the others are sold.

From Racked NY:
Unlike most collaborations of the sort, the partnership between the companies is focused on teaming up to provide one of a kind vintage pieces to its shoppers, instead of creating new ones that pay homage to pieces from the past.

Housed under a section of the brand’s website called “For The Collector”, estate jewelry ranging from delicate diamond and sapphire rings to a locket from the early 1900s are all for sale. With a manageable selection that will be replenished as items are purchased, the baubles are such dreamworthy finds that you won’t be able to stop yourself from wondering who was wearing your potential new gems years and years ago.

I’m in love with several of the pieces, but I have to admit the prices feel a bit out of reach for me. If I committed myself to dedicated a few months’ spending budget to one of the baubles I could swing it. Still I like admiring the pretties and telling myself that maybe I’ll get one as a gift someday. The deco pieces are by far my favorite. Did any of the rings catch your eye?
