I have noticed a lot of community members sharing in-store deals and spots in the comments of various posts. Inspired by the weekly Seek & Find posts started by the lovely Alexis over at J.Crew Aficionada, I think now is a good time to start a similar weekly post here.
This post is for community members to trade information. You can ask for help in finding an item, report back on what you saw in-store at your local Anthro, ask general questions, make a request, or just stop by to say hello. I love how helpful this community can be!
Some FAQs….
– What does “sub” mean?
It means that people are subscribing to the comment thread. You can do this by checking the “send follow-up comments to x email address” box in the comment form.
– Someone in the comments said they wanted to buy an item from me, but it’s been x hours and I haven’t heard squat. What should I do?
I give people 24 hours for the benefit of the doubt. After that move on to the next person that contacted you.
– Someone said they returned an item at the store 20 minutes ago but I just called the store and it’s gone. What gives?!?
A store associate might have taken a fancy to it or a customer might have grabbed it. Maybe it’s just at the bottom of a big ol’pile. Unfortunately, you’re out of luck.

Not on sale, but the Red Delicious Blouse (the one with the apples) is shwowing up as available on my wishlist in sizes 0 and 4 ($88). I don't see it listed in the regular blouse section anymore, so just thought I'd mention it.Also, a heads-up that the green Beda Dress is available in size 0 online right now.

Hi girls – I just got back from my Austin Anthro (512) -236-9301 and was able to score an off-white leather Elevenses jacket for $60 (orig. $348 – doing the happy dance now)! They still had a Parted Petals Cardi in size S, an Odile hot pink ruffle skirt in size 2 for $19.99(!), Cooling Palette dress in size 4, An Around the World dress in size 8 and lots of the other items that are on sale now. If I remember anything else, I will let you know.

I was so excited. I got a scallop leather jacket for 79.95; it was 328.00 full price. The jacket is light, off-white, and is good for spring, summer night, and fall. Who I am kidding, living in Southern Cali, it will be yearround jacket for me. Hey guys! I just came back from my Woodfield, IL store and there were several swift current cardigans in gray, blue, black, and red! I'm not positive on how many or sizes but from what I remember there were all sizes except for medium (there was 1 medium in gray). There were some floating around the Woodlands, TX store for a while, but I'm not sure if they're still there. You might try calling CS to see if there are any still out there.

Thank you so much Sara. I'm telling you girls, that store has some horrible employees. I called yesterday 35 min before closing and they told me that they brought the sale racks in already and that they wouldn't check for me. They told me to call at 9:30am, which is 5:30am my time, and they were still jerks. When I called this morning the girl told me that she hadn't seen it and that it would be useless to check. I told her to anyway and then she put me on hold for a really long time only to come back and tell me that her manager said the same thing and that neither of them would go check! Is this really an Anthro store? It seems like someone needs to call the 1-800 number and tell someone what a-holes they are!

I do know that the SAs sometimes pile the returns on a counter near the register for later processing, so it is possible that the top just hasn't made it back on the floor yet. Only other scenario I can think of is that someone already snagged it. Sorry I did not comb through the comments this morning before my afternoon errands to see if anyone was looking for that size or else I would have put it on hold.

there is a size 14 reed shirt dress in plaid on Ebay.Also, went to the U District Anthro in Seattle – the endless chevron dress is there in sizes 8 and 12, plus a few other items sold out online. And I love Anthro customer service – I pointed out that the Perilla dress had several stringy unraveling flowers (every single dress did) and was offered 35% off. How could I resist? JanAlyssa – Yes! That's funny! I'm not seeing the auction though.I'm kind of worried about how it will fit. I've found Leifsdottir to run rather small in bottoms and dresses. However, I have another Leifsdottir top, the Fanned Flames blouse, in size 2 (same size I bought this top in), it fits except the waistband (hip…band?) is somewhat snug. This one seems to flare out instead of a cinched waistband, so I am crossing my fingers that it will fit!
I think all the Cartography cardis are all gone. 🙁 Dammit.

hi everyone :)i've got a dilemma and i need your trusted advice/input/wisdom!i have a dress that i purchased from an Anthro store in California while i was on vacation. i want to return it, but i don't have a store to go to (i live in Hawaii). i called the store i purchased it from, and i was told that they couldn't do anything and they redirected me to CS. i emailed CS about my situation, and they told me to contact the store and talk to them about their return policy. so i don't know what to do. i thought i read before in this community of members mailing charge-send returns to the store they bought it from? is this correct? idk why the two SA's i spoke to told me that i couldn't return it to them even though i have the original receipt. can anyone help me out? i'm a little frustrated. thank you all! :)erinerinxtofu [at] gmail [dot] com
You should definitely be able to return it to the store that you ordered the charge-send from. I would wait until tomorrow (so you get a fresh shift), call back and ask to speak to the MOD (manager on-duty). Then politely explain the situation to him or her. I'm sure the MOD will help out. 🙂
