In news that should shock absolutely no one Anthropologie will increase catalogue circulation in 2010 by 6% to 18.4 million copies. Oddly, 2009’s initial target was 18.4 million copies but they ended up distributing only 17.4 million catalogues. It seems like every other request on their Facebook page is to receive a catalogue. Guess they’re taking note. (Also taking note: ebay sellers.)
This is still lower than their 2008 numbers when they distributed 21.5 million copies. But it lines up better with their direct sales numbers, which correspond to 16.7% of consolidated net sales. Are you receiving the Anthropologie catalogue? I get one like clockwork here in the city but my summer country rental never gets the same love.

I'm not sure why but I've been bumped off the catalog distribution list. I place an order about every 6 weeks online because I don't have a B&M near me and have stopped getting catalogs. It is disappointing because it's not like they are sending a catalog to someone who isn't purchasing from them. I'm contributing to the cause–so shouldn't I get a little consolation prize??
I still haven't received my April catalog! I always get one. Last month, I didn't mine on time, so I emailed customer service and they sent me one out. Then my regular one came. I'm going to wait a little longer because I don't want two issues of April, but I still want my catalog.
I continue to get my catalog. I feared they wouldn't have kept up with my recent move but I just got my April catalog yesterday.

I was on their mailing list then I dropped off. I order about every two weeks (if not more) and it took me *forever* to get get back ontheir list. I finaly just started receiving it again.In the meantime I reached a higher-level customer support person and she started sending them out to me herself, in a fancy Anthro envelope. I got my catalogs directly from her for about a year while they tried to get me back on the mailing list. Now I get doubles.
Never get one, despite requesting them online and being a loyal customer. Maybe that disqualifies me since I already shop there? I used to get catalogs years ago when I never even heard of the store, much less shopped there.
It's so odd that you guys aren't getting catalogs because even my BOYFRIEND gets a catalog because he's bought stuff for me online. He just throws his away. 😐
This is OT: will Anthro give free shipping for orders placed in a store? I have been trying to find the Lacey Lanes Tank in my area stores with no luck. I am not sure if I would be a size S or size M, and I don't want to pay shipping for two tops, especially knowing that I will return the one that doesn't fit. If I can get free shipping, I'd like to just order from a store.
Suki – heh, that's kind of evil.lilac cupcake – you are only supposed to get free shipping if you are at a store that doesn't have the item in stock and they call another store on your behalf. However if you get a nice SA there's a shot you could get the shipping waived.

Sometimes I get mine like 2-3 weeks into the month. Then every once in a while I get mine on the first week of the month (like this month! Maybe it is because I ordered practically every week during March) Then…every once in a while Anthro totally forgets about me and I just get my catalog from the store(s).Lilac Cupcake:If you get an SA from the store to help you track down the item it is free shipping (store to store). I just had an SA in the store track down a looping lanes belt for me. The store with the looping lanes belt told me it's FS. (though it took an week for the store with the belt to call me to get my info) Sometime, the store is busy and the SA will just ask for your info minus the CC info and call later. Usually, by the time SA call around the item is gone. So, I would go when the store is not busy and then get an SA to track down the item while you are in store.
I get catalogs every month. Received my April one last week. But I'm one that probably shouldn't receive them because I just look at them once and then recycle it.
I have gotten them without fail for about three years now. They started arriving when I made my first home related order (curtains) on-line. Prior to that, when I just ordered clothes, I didn't get the catalog at all.
that's good news! they never cut my circulation, but i was worried they would since i read that on your blog months ago. They also just sent me a little post card acknowledging my bday this wknd. that was so sweet. i get 15% off my purchase:-)
anthro's catalog is where there is a bee in my bonnet. 🙂 i am a good solid customer, with no anthro in my state, and i NEVER get the catalogs, not even in my orders like they used to do. i first called customer service about it, then every time i'd visit a store in another state, i'd have the associate get me signed up again, have them call corporate, etc., etc. you name it, i've tried it, and i've never received the catalogs. and yes, i'm an anthro card holder (at least i do get the birthday discount card each year). drives me crazy, especially since i keep all of the ones i've gotten from friends for inspiration. plus, i have friends in my city who have bought one small item from anthro their whole lives and get the catalogs. what gives?!

I seem to get one every month, though when in the month is up the air. I can't recall them ever missing me in the last year. I always figured it's because I buy something every other week either online or in a store, so they're always on to me one way or another. Maybe they're trying to make it up to me that I didn't get the Anthro card birthday discount last year! 😉
This is so funny to me because I get 2 catalogs at home, 1 at work and another at work under my boss's name because she ordered something for xmas a few years ago from Anthro for me.Craziness!
I was one of the ones to get bumped off of their catalogue list. Thats sad because I place tons of orders all of the time. Since I live in Hawaii, where there is no Anthro store, I would think that they would be mroe inclined to send me a catalogue since I am unable to go into the store and look at their clothing for myself!
I don't understand Anthro. When you are a good customer and buy from them a lot you get treated badly. And when you are an occasional buyer they treat you like gold. At least that has been my experience. I've ordered at least a dozen items this past month and they never sent me my b-day discount card and I still have not received my April catalog. I finally e-mailed 3 times about my b-day discount and was told they were sending me one for April, but nothing. And orders I've placed after that have gotten here quicker. I don't know what is going on with Anthro, but they should really work on their relationship with their buyers.
I've gotten my catalogs like clockwork even though I've moved a few times in the last couple of years. I may lose other stuff but I can always count on that Anthro catalog being in my inbox no matter where I go :)! But watch, now they'll mysteriously stop showing up…
I have consistently gotten catalogs…both at home and and work (b/c once I had something shipped to my work). Yay for doubles…then I can rip on the pretty pictures in one of them and still have one copy intact. OT – Anthro card vent…why can't they offer more incentives for having it! Sheesh…

Roxy,I'm just curious, but what did you mean about ebay sellers and the catalogs? Do people actually sell their catalogs? I hate to admit this, but we get 3 copies every month. I get one at work, one at home and my husband gets one at home since he buys things for me at Christmas from there. The work one is because that's where I have everything shipped. My coworkers love me… Their husbands hate me though. One even asked me what I was teaching his wife. 🙂
Still no Anthro catalog for April, but I did get the Urban Outfitters one. That one went promptly into recycling. I want to look like a woman, not a young girl. I hope it comes tomorrow, or I may have to email customer service again.
I added myself to the mailing list almost a year ago and never got one. My boyfriend's mother got them every month b/c he bought me a gift for Christmas and had it sent to her house. I always felt like she was getting my catalogs. She never kept them for me. I was annoyed. Finally, I bought something online last week for the first time. I still haven't received the package, but what do I find in my mailbox today? The April catalog, in all it's glory. I am beginning to wonder if they are more likely to send it to you after you actually buy something.
I got a Free People catalog AND an Urban Outfitters catalog yesterday. Those UO catalogs are getting risque!
i signed up for their catalog a few months ago, then proceeded to sign up for their card, linked it to my online account, purchased stuff online and then tons of stuff in store and i still haven't received a catalogue. they even mailed me a birthday discount, but i had to email them about it. but no catalogue. it really makes me sad 🙁
I did receive it until we moved and now I have not received it since we have moved and it has been 8 months. We forwarded our mail and everything else came through so it is weird. I will have to confirm they have my new location on file. Thanks for reminding me! xoxoKC
