Styled: Candelabra Top

Anthropologie at ShopStyle

This post is for emra, who wanted to see options for one.september’s Candelabra Top (now $50, review here) besides pairing it with dark wash jeans.

This top is very pretty with a lot of movement. So we wanted to pair it with something else that moves. One option is to wear the top over a dress. Since the shirt has a bit of sparkle and the dress has a vibrant pattern we kept the accessories subdued. We like that in this look you get two outfits in one. If this dress is a bit too much you could do a solid dress in black, grey, light brown, navy blue or dark purple.

In this outfit:
Candelabra Top (now $50)
Speckled Ink Dress ($158)
Illuminate Wedges ($158, no longer online)
Silk Trade Bag ($138)
Fluttering Fleur Earrings ($24)
Pizzazz Tights ($18)

This look is an admittedly trendy take. We love the tights and shorts combo though and this shirt is a great option to top it all off. We chose a pair of black shorts but you could also do grey, brown, plaids, houndstooth…almost any neutral combination. You’ll want shorts that hit at least a couple of inches below the top’s hem. Look for a straight leg shape, flared shorts will make you look wider against the flowy top. You could layer a turtleneck or thermal under the top to stay warm on top and throw your favorite coat on over it. We kept the accessories lighter to draw the eye upward. Come warmer weather swap out the tights and boots for your favorite heels and you’ve got a going-out outfit.

In this outfit:
Candelabra Top (now $50)
Watercraft Shorts ($198)
Donegal Tights (similar here and here)
Cole Haan Air Brandi Tall Boot ($398)
Allamanda Necklace ($42)
Pebbled Path Earrings ($24)
Lush Vegetation Coin Purse ($38)

Roxy, I LOVE these outfit combinations! I never thought to wear the top almost like a cardigan, and I love it with shorts. Thank you so much for your suggestions (which I will DEFINITELY be using) and for your dedication to this blog (which I read every day!). I really appreciate the work that you put into it, and I know that lots of other people do too :)Have a great day!
