(Quite) a few new arrivals for the wishlist

With the holidays around the corner I’m in full look-but-no-touch mode. Several of these items are sitting in my cart at the moment while I cross my fingers for an Anthropologie gift card wrapped up and waiting.

Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Ranna Gill’s dress is comprised of many of the
other colors Anthropologie is using this winter.
Translation? Easy mix and match.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Leifsdottir’s ruffled frock is ready for
my super secret resort getaway.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Shimmer Stripes Sweater Dress ($138)
Knitted & Knotted’s sweater dresses have been
awesome so far. I hope this one continues
the positive trend.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Fold & Flutter V-Neck ($118)
Sailor gets a modern update courtesy of Leifsdottir.
I picture this over wide-leg trousers and vintage block heels.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
College Ruled Tee ($48)
Michael Stars’ striped tees are eye candy
and easy layering pieces. But I’ll want to make these
the middle layer of a thermal sandwich.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Photographic Foliage Tank ($78)
A beautiful top by Weston Wear.
A shell for under blazers?
Or the top layer over a turtleneck?
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Badge Of Blooms Cardigan ($78)
Tiny imagines the crest of the
School of Anthropologie.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Field Of Fancy Blouse ($98)
I can already tell this Odille will not work on me.
I love it anyway.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Petal Concoction Tee ($68)
RicRac seems to be revisiting the boxes
in my parents’ attic for inspiration.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Vermillion Flurry Blouse ($128)
Redepmtion for Odille through a
perfectly-proportioned blouse.
Something tells me this is already
on a lot of wishlists.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Carys Shell ($118)
Dear Anthropologie, please make a dress
in this same print. Yours always, roxy.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Felted Lei Cardigan ($118)
Dear Field Flower by Wendi Reed,
Drool.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Fargyle Skirt ($88)
Odille may have miscalculated
the square root of my hips with this
intriguing but strangely proportioned skirt.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
New Academia Skirt ($98)
I’ve already tried on Taikonhu’s tweed skirt,
but you’ll have to wait to find out what I thought.
(Evil, I know.)
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Saturation Point Heels ($88)
Pink Studio says go bold or go home.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Mistletoe Drops ($32)
Surprisingly light and sure to draw
the right kind of attention.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Refract & Reflect Earrings ($38)
These double as deadly weapons if
you happen to fall asleep with them on.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
The lovely shade of green
contained within these pears has me
wishing the artisan tackled other fruits too.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Leaps And Bounds Belt ($34)
Another versatile belt that will go with
just about anything.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Road Tripping Belt ($38)
When a plain old buckle won’t do,
this belt delivers a prettier display.

Aww Anthro is going to kill my budget again 🙁 Most of these things are on my wishlist. I'm curious to see what you thought of the Academia skirt, the suspense is killing me 🙂

Thank God, there's nothing on there that I HAVE TO have (though that sailor shirt is really cute, and I love several of the floral tops). My budget can't take any more MUST HAVEs. Those striped shoes are really adorable and very "me," but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to wear them. 99% of shoes hurt my feet too much to wear them. =( Oh, PS, I found my Lolland dress! ;D Now let's see if it gets canceled…

I love the Saturation POint heels also, but they are cotton. Is that a winter fabric? Am I the only one that thinks the new arrivals are springish? How about some long sleeves? Or at least sweaters that will help keep me warm. I do like the MIchael Stars Tee, that would be OK. But all the sleeveless? I have said it before, I am not a layer -er.

the photomontage dress is also at bloomies (and I think) part of their current buy more save more promotion and therefore 20% if anyone wants it, I do, but I'm on a very very sad shopping ban for the rest of the month.and ya that vermillion flurry blouse 100% on my wishlist. I can't wait to try it on.http://fashionfoodfrivolity.blogspot.com/

I'm with Katie.. not thrilled with any of the new stuff so far. (Which is probably a good thing!)

I am SO in love with that Lei Cardi! I'm curious to see what it looks like in person as sometimes it can be a hit or miss. I adore the color combo and the flowers around the neck are just so feminine and pretty!

Stephanie – the review will run in the morning. Such a tease, I know. Katie & annie cat – I can relate. I'm also hoping for two more weeks of good sale additions…although then again my wallet can't really take it.Georgine – I feel the same way, I've been trying to mention it in all my reviews of springy items. I've decided Anthro has some kind of agenda against winter. ;)Natalie – thanks! I am running by Bloomies today and will have to see if the dress is there.Christrenee – it's so pretty. I hope it makes it to the store this week.

First dress is a beauty! Also, saw the Academia skirt today, but didn't try it on because they didn't have a size 6 or 8. Can't wait to see your review.

Hi Roxy,I'm wondering why the Holmes Sweatercoat is $458. I mean, it's pretty, but that's a ridiculous price. Any ideas?Sarah

The Felted Lei color is to die for, die for, die for- if it's still around after I'm done buying Christmas goodies (and oh god, I haven't even started that yet!) then I'm definitely going to splurge!

  14. December 7, 2009 / 4:37 pm

Hi Sarah, I am not familiar with the brand so it's hard to say. Perhaps plum merino sheep are really hard to find or something? ;)Chloe, oh my gosh you haven't started gift shopping? My problem is stopping. I go overboard.

I will save everyone's wish list one item, the "Lei Cardigan". I ordered on-line and received it today and am sending it back today. I wrote an anthro review today too so that others will save themselves the pain of sending it back. The sweater is so thin it is transparent – you can see your skin through it, let alone any layer you might wear underneath. It is cheap looking IRL – the cute little flowers just look tacky in person. The length is good and the colors are as pictured on the web, but the actual execution of it with the materials, is, to me, really lacking. Now, the other sweater I had wanted (and decided to wait on – "Any Other Rose" cardi can make it to my cart with (hopefully) much better results……

Denise, thanks so much for the feedback on the Lei Cardigan — what a disappointment. 🙁 I am eager to see this in-store.
