Anthropologie gave their fall collection an official introduction via email today. The feature page is titled A New Wavelength — a name that I love! Though spring is historically associated with new beginnings this year fall also seems to foreshadow its own inceptions. Could that be a hint of optimism in the air?
As for the clothes themselves there is plenty to pine for. The Letizia Cardigan ($118) looks warm and comfy. I hope the tie is as substantial in real life. Or maybe it’s a skirt I need courtesy of the Party Petal Skirt ($148) or the Bold Felicia Skirt ($98)? There’s much more to see beyond the feature page, all tempting in textures, patterns and shapes.
Also, on a totally off-topic note, I saw The September Issue tonite and it was delightful. It helped that we saw it in a small theater with a fun audience but the movie was an intriguing look into a career that I once dreamed of and have since left behind for the future the Internet offers. I would say Valentino: The Last Emperor was better but both are insightful peeks behind the fashion velvet curtain.
Oh yay, The September Issue opens up here on the 11th- I'm totally dragging Husband to see it. 😀
FYI everyone…my spouse went to Anthro last night to do a return for me (such as good man!) and the told hime to tell me to come in—they know us there, and have since before I gave birth to my 3-yr old!—because they had spent all day doing markdowns. So maybe the markdowns will be in-store and not online?
Oh that's good news Jacquelyn. I will run by during lunch to check it out. I think Kim also went to her store last nite.
I bought the last cardigan this past weekend and LOVE it. I have big thighs and a small waist and it is really flattering. The belt is super long–you can wrap it around twice. I got mine in navy blue! 🙂
I tried on that cardigan today in navy and it does look great. Belt is meant to wrap around the waist twice. It's on my wish list.
