On the home design blogs I frequent I’ve noticed that wallpaper is coming back in a major way. And not just in dining rooms or bathrooms — people are finding creative ways to use wallpaper in living rooms, bedrooms, offices or wherever there’s wall space.
Since I rent wallpaper isn’t really an option. But if I owned I’d give the City Park wallpaper a shot. An anonymous tipster asked if I’d noticed the pattern. From afar, it looks like the damask pattern we see everywhere these days.
But upon closer inspection…is that…a fire hydrant? And a chicken or some kind of bird…staring at a rat? What the heck? It’s sleight of hand for the decorating geniuses among us. Talk about your conversation starters.
Here’s what Anonymous had to say:
I purchased one roll first, just in case I didn’t like it I’d only have to send one roll back instead of multiple rolls. When it arrived I unrolled some of it and gasped with delight. It’s even more beautiful in person than in photos. I wish that Anthropologie allowed customer reviews, I’d definitely give this product the highest possible rating. The thistle color is so beautiful, it’s quite pale so could work as a neutral, and it has the most lovely iridescent sheen. The paper and printing are high quality. I immediately purchased the remainder of what I need for the target room. I could not be happier!
You can request a swatch of any of Anthropologie’s wallpapers via this pop.
