Ah, it’s Monday night and you know what that means — time to guess which items will go on sale tomorrow. Come this time of week I get emails asking me what’s going on sale. Most likely this will be a bigger home week, with just a few clothing items added. But you never know! Can’t say for sure which items will and won’t make it so I thought it would be fun to take some educated guesses. Since it is the home/furnishings week in the sale cycle, I'm not hoping for too much actually, though I am still somewhat futilely crossing my fingers for the Lolland Sweater Dress! I'll be gone on vacation the next two Tuesdays so I feel I'm definitely going to miss it if it doesn't happen tomorrow :/In much more probable news though, I think the Remembering Violets dress *has* to go on sale sometime soon. Holiday parties are mostly over! Although maybe Anthro sees just how cute I think it would be for a Valentine's Day dinner 😉

Roxy did you get that survey they sent out last week asking you to rate the cardigans? All of them looked like something they would be coming out with soon, except for the plaza. That made me think that maybe they are keeping it around for a while longer, if they are lumping it in with the newer 'lightweight' cardigans for spring. I just gave up on the sale waiting game for the dancing twill tunic and ordered it, so that would be awesome if that went on sale so i could get a price adjustment! 🙂
I'm really hoping for second markdowns on some items like the Crop Patterns Dress and the Silken Trellis Dress. I was going to try to hold out for the Crop Patterns Dress in particular, but they sold out of my size online over the weekend. 🙁 CS found one for me at the 5th Ave store, so it's being shipped to me. But I'd love a second markdown soon so that I can get a price adjustment! I just knew I'd be so sad if I couldn't get my hands on this because I waited too long.
I know it is way too soon, but I am hoping that by some miracle,the on-the-fold dress will get marked down. I'm going to be surprised if there are all that many apparel markdowns this week, and it is still fairly new, so I'm not holding my breath, but that is a *huge* hope on my part.
I'd really like the scalloped clouds skirt to go on sale so I can get a PA. But, I saw it displayed on the windows, and it doesn't look like it will go on sale.The Ice-Capped Blouse should go on sale soon. I'll wear mine into the spring, but it's more winter-y.
goldenmeans you're right, I do not expect much at all (if anything) in the way of clothing additions. Still, it's fun to play the game. 🙂 There were barely any 2nd markdowns last week so maybe those will come this week to tide us over?coco – I did not, but I was included in their last round of surveys so I can't say I'm surprised.

Tien, don't interpret items in the window to mean that they will not necessarily be marked down! Markdowns are typically given to the stores the day before they go into effect, which often doesn't give alot of time to the visual team to change the windows. I saw this happen numerous times last month!

Roxy, it so weird how the Bustling avenues dress is on sale in some places. I remembered one of Kim's readers let us know that the dress was on sale in one of the stores. So I called and they did not have my size, but when I asked why they had it on sale, the lady told me it was because they had low stock. You might be confused by the sales associate response, but I was too. That made totally no sense. I am just waiting for new dresses now. Though I now have my eye on the Double Ruffle trench. I saw it and tried on on Sunday and I loved it.
Roxy, question!So if something you bought is backordered, does the price adjustment countdown start from the day you placed your order, or the day it actually ships/is postmarked? I bit the bullet and got that damn plaza cardigan just now because my size showed up again, and it sure would be nice to get a price adjustment.
Like others, I expect little in the way of clothing sale tomorrow. If clothing is moved to the sale rack, I think that the Fluttering Pencil Skirt is unlikely, just because there are three other skirts just like it that are newer. I also doubt that the Sterling Dress or Remembering Violets Dress will move just yet (I'm assuming that they'll move next week) because we're still within 14 days of New Years Eve and there are probably a lot of people who bought these dresses right before New Years who would want the price adjustment (myself included). I could definitely see the Blushing Faille Dress moving to the sale rack, since it's more of a holiday dress and the online inventory seems to be getting low. I think that the Bespoke Shirtdress is due for a markdown any day now (it's been out since September… although stores seemed to get it much later than the web, so who knows).
Roxy, I saw that comment in your blog yesterday, and I'm actually a different Lauren :). But I am also anxious to see your pics of the skirt! I've got 3 anthro items on my "to buy" list though – on the fold dress, on a wing blouse, head in the clouds tank (I've gotten this idea to pair it with my snowscape tank), and actually…I really want a through the clouds tank in grey. Egads do I miss my employee discount. BUT SO the aniseed skirt will have to wait for me lol.Also, to people wondering about the bustling avenues dress, I'm not sure that it is actually on sale in some locations and not in others. Items that are discounted due to damages are automatically put on the sale rack. We had a Bustling Avenues dress that was discounted due to a broken zipper in our sale room for 2 months (I'd be willing to wager it's still there, making it 3 months), and it seems that Kim mentioned the one she saw on sale was also in the sale room due to a broken zipper. Could it be that these supposedly on sale Bustling Avenues dresses all have the same flawed, broken zipper??
Went by the store in Austin and asked if they were doing 1st or 2nd markdowns tomorrow and was told it will be home things. Still put a few items on hold. A girl can hope 🙂
Rosa, that's an odd reason for a markdown. I don't know how it's done at other stores, but whenever we're low on stock of an item (1-2 pieces) they're just placed in back stock to await an official markdown (lesson learned: just because you don't see an item on the floor, doesn't mean it isn't there so always ask :)).

I am hoping in vain that the Strewn Leaves Blouse goes on sale. It has been out since September. While the red ones have long since sold out, there have been tons of the black languishing both in my store and online in all sizes. Here's hoping…

i just picked up some latte bowls, tie front cardigan (which i hope will not be too small!) and the emmaline v-neck in purple (already have the grey and love it!)so… hopefully nothing too spectacular will be on sale because then i'll have to pay for all the extra shipping which i could have added to the order above.

After having both of my Web & Loom orders canceled last week, I finally called CS and tracked one down at the 5th Ave. store in NYC (which hopefully should be on its way…).If anyone else is looking for the Web & Loom Cardigan, it sounds like there are some mediums at the Tyson's Corner store, and some smalls at the 5th Ave and Atlanta stores.

You know, all of the Bustling Avenues dress I've seen on sale, are just the ones with broken zippers. The store I was at on Saturday had a decent amount of them at regular price, and when I asked they told me they're full price. I've seen them with broken zippers at several stores now, which makes me wonder if I want the darn dress!
I want the gumshoe sweater coat to go already. I WANT IT but am not willing to pay full price. I think it debuted way before Halloween.Cheers,Stefanie
Well the SA told me (for example) that the three different sized glass carafe's (with the wooden ball stopper- i dont think its online anymore) will be on sale for $19.99 each.
Oh they are the Edda Carafes (973383).
