For the long Labor Day weekend Anthropologie has a couple of good promos running — all sale is an extra 40% off (picks here), and if you received the survey last Friday August 26th, you can take 20% off your full-price item purchases through September 6. The latter promo has me looking at the new arrivals where Fall is slowly appearing!
Anthro will occasionally put together killer outfits like the pairing of the Lacework Shell ($68-$78) and Pilcro Serif Low-Rise Jacquard Jeans ($128) above. Even though the pants are low-rise (and I wish they were high rise!) I will have to give this look a try, especially with the pretty pattern in the pants. The shell comes in not only the white color, but also black and a pretty teal (inexplicably called black motif??), one of a few teal tops that is new and beautiful like the Cropped Guerie Shell ($158) and the Lace Meadows Blouse ($118).
Inside, some more new lovelies that are on my wishlist…
Above we have the Lucerne Off-The-Shoulder Tunic ($98) which is shown here on the shoulder while the blue color shows it off, paired with the Gallery Skirt ($78) in the lighter color I was speaking of the other day. Make sure to size up in the skirt if you have any kind of hips! I went up two sizes myself.
There are a few new cute skirts out right now like the Serafina Striped Sweater Skirt ($228) which looks perfect for work and the Adele Dot Skirt ($98) which has some of that classic Anthro whimsy I love.
The sweaters meanwhile…perhaps it’s best not to talk about them. Instead, let’s highlight a couple of pretty new coats! I mentioned the Cynthia Wool Sweater Jacket ($248) in a comment a few days ago and I’m no less enamored of it today, likewise the Chevril Collared Duster ($258) has me fearing my goal of paring down my coat collection may not be realized.
There are also a few cute new tops; the Amis Linen Top ($78) and Scalloped Lace Henley ($148) have potential, and I’m pleased to report that the Homestead Off-The-Shoulder Top ($88) I purchased earlier this week that was showing nearly sold out is now showing as available, backordered in every size! It runs true to size — I did not find the armholes tight as one reviewer did.
One last item I want to mention is the Celestial Lace Maxi Dress ($178) which I tried on earlier this week. It has both day and night potential! For daytime it looks great paired with the Dara Vegan Leather Jacket ($188), especially the plum color.
I mini-reviewed a bunch of new items earlier this week in this post, and I’ve spoken of other new arrivals here and here recently. Later today I’ll have a roundup of Labor Day sales live on the blog! What new items from Anthropologie have you swooning?
