This 20% off survey thank you from Anthropologie (confused? Find out more in this post!) is certainly working its magic on me. Since getting that little code in my email I’ve been repeatedly thumbing through the pages of new stuff on Anthropologie’s website, trying to decide what to hunt down in store. Unfortunately my store hunts yesterday were much less than successful, about which I’ll comment at the bottom of the post. But in the meantime, inside are 20 items I’d like to buy with my 20% off code (and no, you’re right, it’s not realistic to buy them all)…
Topping my list at the moment is the pretty, lightweight, (but viscose, sigh) Bosquet Blouse ($118). Much like the photo topping the post I’d like to wear it under my Cypress Moto Jacket ($148 — size up) in the lighter color, which is temporarily showing as sold out online but will be back as soon as Anthro realizes they accidentally killed the page.
In fact, there are several lightweight tops and blouses on my list, from which I will probably choose a couple to purchase. There is the Lace Line Tee ($68) which as a rayon-spandex combo I expect will stretch, show sweat marks and not last much longer than a year but is so dang cute, the beautiful cotton Seamed Scoop Tee ($58), the work-ready Civita Mockneck Tank ($125), and the tuckable Belle Poplin Blouse ($98) — and those are just the white tops! The Seamed Scoop Tee ($58) in particular would work well with the Kady Sherpa Vest ($138), one topper I have my eyes on.
Another top on my list is the Homestead Off-The-Shoulder Top ($88, above), which looks like a great weekend top to wear with jeans, a cute jacket (here’s my current fave) and maybe these wedge boots I want too? Another possibility for the same kind of outfit is the Layered Fiona Pullover ($118). Ditto the Mille Sweatshirt ($98), which would also work for work for me over the right pencil skirt. The soft, long Rosie Cowlneck Pullover ($98) has both work and weekend potential too.
Then there is the Fringed Chambray Buttondown ($138), a tunic that blurs the line into dress. I love the length, do I love the fringe…?
Which brings me to dresses. Is the cotton Odette Ruffle Sleeve Dress ($98) cute and whimsical or a little too juvenile? I can’t decide — I want to try it! The Luiza Sweater Dress ($268) is nearly certain to be in my closet by winter, the versatile Imogen Shirtdress ($148) too. I’m torn on the Patchwork Peasant Dress ($158) — the one with the Matson Knee Boots ($228, which I’d also love), because while the length is cute, I was disappointed in how shapeless it is when I tried it on yesterday. Yes, it will look lovely layered under a coat come Fall, but what about when I take the coat off? It’s just a sack. Then again the dress is just the excuse I need to purchase the Kelsi Dagger Brooklyn Jalen Booties ($160) in brown…
For date night, the Janie Halter Dress ($188), Gatsby Silk Chemise ($498) and Calais Chemise ($548) all have my attention. Which one to choose?
