Banana Republic is running another 40% off your purchase promo, online-only, through tomorrow. This one comes at a great time for me as I’ve just done a big purse purge and I’m ready to fill a few holes in my closet with cute new bags — and Banana has many to choose from!
Take the Micro Chain Buckle Bag (now $89) above. I’d wear it with these cute sailor flares, a striped sweater, a Fall-ready trench and killer heels, and at 40% off this look is quite a steal.

Using the code FALL at checkout, the Ostrich Director Bag comes down to $83. This is a bag that could work with so many outfits since it’s a neutral camel color. I picture wearing it with a soft pink like the Shine Crew Pullover (now $59) and the Black Skinny Ankle Jean (now $59).
At the opposite end of the spectrum is the beautiful burgundy Mini Tote (now $102), a great little work bag. I’m surprised by how much this mini masterpiece holds! I’ve been wearing it with grey suiting, like the Logan Lightweight Wool Pant (now $66) and the Lightweight Wool Shell (now $41). I also love the Classic Rebel Crystal Built In Necklace (now $47) shown with the shell, though the reviews on that one are not promising.
Another great work bag is the Pebbled Italian Leather Tote, which was already on sale and comes down even further in the promo is the poppy orange color. If you want to keep the bag more neutralized I’d pair it with a grey like the Fit-and-Flare Pieced Dress (now $83), but it would really look amazing with a navy like the Short-Sleeve Flounce Windowpane Dress ($138, excluded from the promo).
The Envelope Shoulder Bag (now $83) is a sleek little chained shoulder bag ideal for just about any look. While it’s tempting to go monochrome with it, I also think some fun flounce like pairing the Merino Stripe Turtleneck (now $41), Ponte Flounce Skirt (now $40), and Plaid Jacket (now $107) with the bag would show a cute contrast of the hard lines of the bag with the soft lines of the outfit. The bag also comes in a smaller microsuede version in color pops like light purple.
One final bag with a pop of color is the Italian Suede Chain Bag, already on sale and down to $56 with the FALL online-only promotion. To me this bag wants to be paired with navy, and I really like how it looks against the work-ready Pinstripe Tie-Waist Shirtdress (now $83).
