Investigating Anthropologie’s newest arrivals

The Leveled Lace Dress ($188), part of Anthro’s latest outfits set.

Have you checked out Anthropologie’s newest arrivals in the last few days? A ton of alluring new pieces have hit the website. Inside, some of my favorites. And I’d love to hear yours!

My favorite new arrival this week is the Striped Persephone Tank ($88), though the looseness of the front gives me pause. Last year I was in love with a similar striped tank from Joie. I’m glad I missed out on the Joie version now because I love the lighter back on this Anthropologie tank! My only regret is that this top hits the website the day I leave for Maui and not the week before.

Anthropologie continues to release so many cute dresses! This time around I’m most enamored with Karen Walker’s Perruche Dress ($168) which has work potential written all over it. I love the shape of the modified peplum and I hope the sleeves work OK on me. The Lemon Lace Shift ($218) seems like it could do work or play, while the Fleur Eyelet Dress ($178) and the Tavira Dress ($118) strike me as fun day dresses. I love the back of the Tavira.

How will the Mother Looker Jeans ($210) look on me? Probably terrible. But I love the pattern. The faded tile medallion print says rock star on holiday to me and these jeans are singing my name. I’ve never tried Mother jeans on before. How do they fit? I’ll be on the hunt for these in-store.

Bows on shoes are a favorite of mine. I can’t think of a more adorable and perfect summer shoe than the Verite Raffia Slingbacks ($128) which need to be in my closet right now. I’m so glad to see that the inside of the shoe if fully lined. I’m so upset to see that these are an online exclusive. These sandals are by Bibi Lou and as far as I can see Anthropologie is the only store carrying them. I really want to compare colors and sizes in person. Instead I guess I’ll wait for a shoe sale or at least free shipping before I take the plunge. The raspberry is jumping out at me though I suppose the natural would be the most versatile.  Which color do you like the most?

Anthro’s website doesn’t say that the Pearled Bouquet Collar Necklace ($128) is by Nakamol but I think it must be. And how beautiful is it? For a garden party, a special event or maybe just a really nice brunch, I can see wearing this with a pretty dress and feeling like the belle of the ball. This is another item I’d love to spy in real life so I can see how the colors and handmade work translate. Fingers crossed that one of the NYC Anthropologies gets this in the next couple of weeks.

Also hitting my wishlist: The Rainier Pullover ($88), the Columns Crossbody ($598) and its smaller cousin the Coney Island Crossbody Bag ($398) which is adorable and looks like a face!!!

One item I’m less sure of is Sachin + Babi’s Tiered Lace Skirt ($275). It’s nylon and polyester and it looks a little like a duster. It looks very Free People to me and while my style overlaps with that store frequently this is one of those items I’d look at in confusion. Equally questionable? The Sanctuary Camo Chinos ($118). Is camo really coming back? Really? Say it with me now: Camo. Chinos. Camo chinos. What do you think of these items?

Have you made any new wishlist additions this week? What new items have caught your eye? Feel free to share links for anything not mentioned in this post.
