Anthropologie’s mixing things up a bit for January 2013. Instead of a full-on catalogue they’ve chosen to make a lookbook of sorts featuring 5 different style ideas on the website. I haven’t seen the print version of this yet so I’m not sure what is looks like. What will you find in this lookbook? Take a look inside.
Online it’s a continues side-scrolling page highlighting the “5 signatures of style.” I’ve been remiss in posting about Anthropologie’s online outfit ideas lately but I’ve liked their recent sets quite a bit. I’m sorry to say that this entire lookbook does nothing for me. Nothing is getting added to my wishlist. (There are some other items that are new that I do like — I’ll have a post on those items tomorrow.)
Still, while I’m not enamored by anything here I don’t mind this new idea. I like that it can be updated more frequently and it’s certainly a nice pop of color and look. I hope that Anthropologie’s beautiful catalogues aren’t gone for good. They’d hit on something with about half their catalogues last year. And I’m looking jealously over at Free People who went to places like London and Paris last year (their latest book is called Girls on Bikes! How Anthropologie is that??) and continues to churn out cute books. Hopefully Anthropologie gets back to this classic track too. In the meantime, what do you think of January’s looks?
