Eye Candy: Anthropologie February 2011 Catalogue

In this photo: Chilled Stripes Sweater Tank ($258), Cut Sprigs Heels ($258).

Holy cannoli! If these pictures are any indication, Anthropologie is totally going to make up for the disaster that was their January catalogue with a beautiful follow-up in February. I’m thrilled to see clothing back in the forefront. Beautiful clothing at that. NEVER LET THE JANUARY CATALOGUE HAPPEN AGAIN. Seriously. If it had been an accessories pull-out, cool. But since it was not, not cool. Don’t make me put you on my list, Anthro.

Last year, I would occasionally get an email asking whether Anthropologie ever uses black models. They do though less frequently than past years. So it’s a true thrill to see a diverse range of models used in this catalogue. I can’t speak for anyone else but from my point of view it’s great to see models that have similar hair and skin tones to me, but it’s also amazing to see beautiful women of all skin and hair tones in these pretty clothes. I truly hope that Anthropologie continues to employ models of all types and hopefully some day a “plus-size model” (stupidest term ever) will grace the pages as well.

I’m not able to identify all the items in these shots as many have not made the website yet. But in the meantime, plenty of eye candy to enjoy on this lovely Friday morning, my last day as a 28-year-old. 🙂
