On to the reviews…

Hi everyone! For reference, I’m 5’2″ and 114 pounds.  Usually a sixe XS, 0-2 in skirts and jeans.

Stylist’s Eye Dress $168:

I fell in love with the colors of this dress when I saw it online and when I saw it in my store, I sighed…it’s so pretty. So I grabbed a size 0. It almost fits like a Tabitha Dress but slightly better. The top isn’t as bulky and lies smoother than the Tabitha dresses. The only thing is that it’s a bit loose on the sides. You can see in the picture how much space I have in the armpit area.

The skirt sits snugly on the hips through the thighs. It’s a perfect pencil skirt. The colors are so vibrant and beautiful. For a petite like me, the skirt is a tad bit long. It hits me just below the knees. I think if I went with the Petite size online, it might be much better…let’s hope for free shipping and this baby will be mine one day. I would order in your true size because if you size down to make the fit on top better, the skirt won’t go over your butt 🙂 As you can see…my butt is very visible.

Forthright Shift $138:
I usually don’t like shift dresses but I thought I would try it on for the blog. I took a size 0 and I almost lost an ear putting this bad boy over my head. The opening is so tight! Once it came on, it fit exactly like a shift should on me…lose and not flattering, even with a belt. For those that like that look, this dress is really light and the color is a flattering navy blue. The bow detail on top of the neckline makes this dress stand out. It also has a unique cut-out of the side that shows the gray underlining. It’s unique gives this dress a little punch. I would pair this with some dark tights and camel booties. Order in your true size.

Hortulan Pencil Skirt $128:
Oh what lovely Monet style prints Anthropologie is releasing this Fall. I saw this skirt today and new I had to try it on. I grabbed a 0 and it fit like a perfect glove. It hugged my waist and didn’t cling to my hips but gave me a slim silhouette. If you want a bit more room in the hips and thighs, I would order one size up otherwise, if you have more of a straight shape, order your true size.

The details are beautiful. There are two pocket-like-shapes on the front but they’re not pockets…and they don’t add bulk. Overall, it’s just a lovely skirt and will make its way into my closet one day.
