Anthropologie has carried designer Corey Lynn Calter’s pieces for several years now. Her distinctive looks include the full skirts we love to twirl in and contemporary pieces with a whimsical and Victorian twist. Today New York Magazine’s discerning fashion blog The Cut published an interview with Ms. Calter, which among other things touches on the upcoming Anthropologie bridal line.

From the interview:
You’re also launching a bridal line at Anthropologie this winter. Is this your first foray into bridal?
I did some bridal in the past; when you design corsets, people kind of hit you up for that. A lot of my training is in making custom gowns for people, especially when I worked for the opera. Those costumes are the closest thing to couture you can do in the United States.

Interesting! I wonder if Ms. Calter is the sole designer for Anthropologie’s bridal line, or if others are involved? Either way this makes me very excited for January and the bridal line debut! Read the full interview on The Cut here.
