All shipping methods are not created equal(ly): a poem

Anthropologie bags are so tempting,
But full price leaves me unrelenting.
I must stay on budget
And so I tough it
And wait for them to go on sale.

Tuesday was exciting!
Two bags I wanted so enticing
Had finally been cut in price
I pulled the trigger on one,
And 4 hours later realized I wasn’t done
By 10 AM I’d checked out twice.

Curious things happen
In Anthro’s warehouse it seems
Fulfillment picks shipping methods randomly
While bags dance through my dreams.

So while it was partly a delight
To find my bags had both shipped
I nervously twitched when I saw the methods
By which they’d been sent.

One box via UPS, one via Priority Mail.
I suppose I should just be thankful
UPS Mail Innovations wasn’t detailed,
Because that service just leaves me hateful.

Today I came home to find
One bag (plus, ahem, a few other treats),
And found the other is still waiting
In Atlanta for a departing seat.

Why, Dear Anthro, do you toy with me so?
A suggestion perhaps if you’d permit me lo?
Your sister store Leifsdottir allows you to select
The {disgustingly expensive} delivery method of your present.

Just a thought as I pine for bag #2,
What’s that old saying we always knew?
Good things come to those who wait?
I have no patience; if it’s on-time it’s late.

Impatiently,
roxy
