Styled: First Flurry Cardigan

Anthropologie at ShopStyle

This post is for Sandrine, who asked for some day options for the First Flurry Cardigan ($148) by Guinevere.

We weren’t sure how dressy day gets so we have a jeans look and this one, the crossover look. The basic point we want to get across here is that this cardigan looks great over any dress with a structured waist. We’re cheating a bit here — I saw the belt layered over the cardigan at the 5th Ave Anthropologie. I thought it was a great solution so we’ve included it in this look. If you need more warmth you can always put a long-sleeve shirt under the dress — we’d go for grey or navy blue with this look. The tights have touches of blue and the shoes can easily be swapped out for booties or flats. The jewelry and bag are whimsical suggestions to polish off the look

In this outfit:
First Flurry Cardigan ($148)
Horizon Line Dress ($138)
Steve Madden Pumps (similar here and here)
Bag no longer available (name slips my mind)
Synapse Belt ($38)
Radiant Necklace ($48)
Gilded Cradle Earrings (no longer online, similiar here and here)
Calligrapher’s Tights ($38)

This second look is the more casual option. It all starts with jeans. We like the way the teal top has a bit of visual interest in front without going over the top. The shoes and purse are splurges to be sure but it’s the shape we want you to notice for your search — booties with a thick heel and a bowling bag-shaped satchel. We did not include a belt with this option but you could easily add a black belt to this look (or a dark gold one, or a blue one).

In this outfit:
First Flurry Cardigan ($148)
Chie Mihara Silk Ribbon Bow Front Shoe-boot ($404)
Stormy Sea Necklace ($48)
On-The-Cob Earrings (no longer available, similar here and here)
Citizens Of Humanity Faith Amber Bootcut ($169)
Pleat-neck turtleneck ($49)
Steven by Steve Madden Sweet Escape Satchel ($199)

Thank you Roxy for the ideas! I adore that cardigan, I do not regret that purchase. I wear it with the brown snakebite belt over a dress or jeans.
