Ruffian debuts Mise-en-Scene at Rockefeller Center Anthro

Brian Wolk and Claude Morais of Ruffian debuted their first Mise-en-Scene collection for Anthropologie last night at the Rockefeller Center store. Racked was there to get the full scoop:

The clothes themselves look a lot like what you’d expect from the main Ruffian line: chic, understated and a little vintage-looking. There’s a slightly metallic strapless mini dress with a full skirt, some fluttery day dresses, a prim little black sheath dress with a white shirt collar, and several shirts and coats. The fabric feels good to the touch and the construction looks solid, and pretty much the whole collection looks perfect for going on a job interview or meeting someone’s parents. The dresses and coats run about $200-400. The best deal of the collection may be the gorgeous, hand-seamed “couture hosiery.” At $38 the tights are more than Hue, but less than Wolford, and they look more like the latter.

The collection is also available to browse online. I’m eager to try on the Jacquard Gala Dress ($228) and the tights. And of course as I have previously mentioned I plan on purchasing the Flocked Chiffon Blouse ($148). Have you seen Ruffian items in your local Anthro?

My store has tons of Ruffian items. I already purchased the flocked chiffon blouse even though I initially didn't like it. I love it now!I plan on snatching up those stockings as soon as they make it into the store. I really adore the gray dotted tights.

WOW, thanks for the update. I am visiting my DC store tomorrow and I hope they have some of these items. It would be so exciting to see them IRL.
