Reviews: Lively Mist Top, Clustered Camellia Tee & Plum Flower Tunic

Why hello pretty rosette thingies. I must say, I have seen you on many tops this year. Yet I have resisted most of your forms. But then along comes Deletta with the Clustered Camellia Tee ($78). And I swoon.

It’s basically a soft tee with rosettes smushed on it. The “blue motif” that I think is really green brought out my eyes really well. Which you would totally see if I didn’t cut off my head when taking these pictures! You’ll just have to take my word for it. I tried on the small which was a bit loose but not enough to size down further. I think this top will look great under a cardigan or deep v-neck or scoop sweater. Most likely I will be caving and buying this very soon.

The Clustered Camellia Tee will have some competition in my shopping cart from the Lively Mist Top ($78). For some reason I feel like this shirt is sticking its tongue out at me, making that sound when the doctor tells you to open up and say “ahhhh.” Holy cow I loved this shirt on. Please allow me to cut to the front of the club line. Pair this with a short skirt and some high boots?

There is a hint of cleavage and some form-fitting action that combined to make me feel confident and attractive. Even the cut-in stitching over the hips was helpful, pulling me in a bit. This top is made by Left Coast. I tried on the small. This shirt will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.

Prints are closer than they appear.

Odille. Can we chat? I am as big a fan of prints as anyone. And for the most part I like the Plum Flower Tunic ($88). However I take issue with the placement of certain flowers. Like the one right over my ladyflower for instance. I know the print falls in different places on each run of the shirt but still…

Print placement aside this silk top has a lot going for it. It’s nice and long. I love the dark green/teal color (green motif). I tried on my true size 6 which had some extra room in it. I don’t feel like the shirt is doing me any favors. The straight line across the chest plus the harsh straight line of the sleeves make me look squeezed and squished. I look top heavy. I think this top is quite pretty but it is clearly not meant for me. Back to the rack it went.

I haven’t seen the Cum Laude Blouse ($88) in-store yet, but I wanted to mention it anyway. It’s beautiful. From the product reviews it sounds like a cami will be needed underneath but I don’t mind. Can’t wait to try this one on.

This shirt is at the Rock Center store. Pretty on the hanger…but it made me look wide. Pretty color though!

Hi! I agree that the Lively Mist Top is a winner. I am presently awaiting its arrival in the mail!! I ordered the medium but am worried that it might be too large? You had the smamll on in the pic right? I am a 34 small D & have a 29 " waist – kinda boyish figure on the bottom half :-). Any advice?? Thanks!

Hmm, I think it will be big. I'm also a 34D and while I'm more of a pear the top was perfect in the small.
