The cold weather has been following me around for the last 2 weeks. So while I’m sure Anthro’s email all about gloves was a bit laughable for those of you in warmer climates it was a welcome delivery to my inbox.
I have not had very good luck with Anthropologie’s gloves. A couple of years ago I bought a pair similar to the Ten-Finger Mittens ($28). They were a beautiful shade of blue and I remember being so disappointed when they fall apart after just a couple of wears. The mitten part just completely came off on both. I was able to repair them but was so annoyed at the lack of quality. A couple of weeks later the stitches started fraying and I just gave up on the pair. Hopefully this year’s version holds up over the long haul.
I’ve had much better luck with Anthro’s hats. Right now the Tiree Beret ($58) is tops on my list. Are any of Anthro’s cold weather accessories on yours?
I just got the Twofold Gloves and the Tiree Beret. I love both! I did some pics here. Normally I would never have worn a beret but my husband talked me into trying it on, and now I am in love.
Normally, living in California, I'd just admire the gloves, but not buy. But I'm planning two trips to colder climates this winter and am in the market! 🙂 I *love* the Affianced Gloves, but as I'm not actually engaged, it'd be a bit tacky of me to wear them, IMHO. (The boyfriend would most likely feel unduly pressured…)
I love that hat!I also just wanted to say that I love your blog! Its one of the first things that I read in the morning and your reviews help me to decide whether or not I want to purchase a lot of anthro's items! Thanks for creating such a great and useful blog!
I tried figuring out what the hands spelled out without looking at the rest of the post and… it totally took me way too long to figure out what it spelled. I am dense sometimes! ;)But the email is cute cute cute!I also echo Lacey's comment, this blog is such a fantastic resource!
Just visited Jacquelyn, I love the hats!Anon, LOL. I was also drawn to the Affixed Gloves but had the same apprehensions. Maybe on girls night out when I want the boys to leave me alone?Thank you Lacey & Alexis. Your compliments make me smile ear to ear. =)
i bought the cashmere squiggle scarf in the gray. i love the feel of cashmere, and at $98 it was a great deal compared to my burberry ones!
