Email: Liquid Assets

Anthropologie had been awfully quiet this week so it was nice to see an email from them today. It’s an updated outfits page all about fluidity. Pretty new clothes! I was disappointed with the model they chose to use though. I realize that a segment of the population is built like this — tall and very thin but in some of the pics she looks downright sickly to me. Also not like the normal Anthro models who appear (relatively) curvy. I don’t mean to pick this particular woman apart. She’s lovely and maybe it’s her genes. But if she is maintaining an unhealthy lifestyle to look this way well then I just feel sad.

Uh, that’s the end of my PSA for this post. Anthro put together some lovely outfits for this set! My favorite is the one above. I am not digging the holey Joe’s Gemma Boyfriend Crops ($124) one bit but I love love love both the Hush-Hush Tee ($68) and the Crescent Height Espadrilles ($200). Which look is your favorite?

I was at my local Anthro. today and scored finding the Shoofly Shell on sale for 39. Still full price online-so cute. I took back the Owl Night Tee- too short and it had a weird scooped bottom that did not look right.

Oh, forgot to mention the Joe's Gemma Boyfriend Crops. I tried these on and they run very big around the waist. I am normally between a 28 and 29 and a 27 fit me easily. Kinda liked them. Very casual. I think they would be fun for running around on weekends with a casual T.

Love the length of them to be sure. I just wish they didn't have premade holes at the knees. 🙂 I have been trying to get to an Anthro store for a few days but work/taxes have foiled me. Hopefully tomorrow!

Did you get the email Anthropologie sent this week about a survey about upcoming tops they could sell? If you fill it out, they give you a chance to win your favorite one (or a gift card)! I'm so glad they are actually giving anthro members more benefits now (even though it is only a giveaway).

personally, i'm lusting for the bungalow gables dress, although i dislike the way it's styled for the liquid gold outfit shown; i wouldn't put a chemise under the dress like that… it's one of 5 pieces i have my eye on that are being currently offered in an xl; there are always alot of tops available, but rarely dresses, pants, or skirts…
