Thanks for posting this sale like always Roxy! Yay for the Daring Dart blouse, I think its cut to $40. Now I just need to hold firm and assure myself that I don't need this blouse in both colors.

  10. June 8, 2010 / 7:41 am

Thanks! Picked up a couple things.

  11. June 8, 2010 / 7:41 am

I get a PA on the Keep it Simple Tunic, yay :).

  12. June 8, 2010 / 7:41 am

The Snowmelt Cardi is so cute, but… well… I just don't feel justified. We don't really have that whole winter thing here in Houston. Just the occasional freak snowstorm, then the next week it's back up to 75…

  13. June 8, 2010 / 7:42 am

You're welcome all. 🙂 Thanks to Kim as well for checking the scene last night.Free Shipping really adds to the temptation, no? I find myself with a cart that has 4 items in it…

  14. June 8, 2010 / 7:43 am

Free shipping definitely makes me pull the trigger faster… it's like you said, with free shipping it's not like you're paying $8 just to try something on if you don't like it.

  15. June 8, 2010 / 7:46 am

sigh, I guess the Aniseed Skirt is going to be full price FOREVER. Oh well.I'm going, as Bridget Jones would say, to Bedfordshire!Goodnight ladies, and happy shopping!

  17. June 8, 2010 / 7:49 am

Thanks again for being up and posting the sale for us, Roxy!FS has absolutely done me in the past week. I'm so tempted to buy…well, almost everything. 😛 It's nice to have a wee sale this week. My wallet is thankful. I'm a bit curious – does anyone know if the current sale is the "big" bi-annual sale? Or is the big bi-annual sale coming up later in the summer?

  18. June 8, 2010 / 7:58 am

Thank you! I picked up the rising vapor dress, which had been on my wishlist, and the climbing cowlneck. Awesome stuff that I tried on and loved!

  19. June 8, 2010 / 8:45 am

Thanks Roxy! I got the buds & bunches tee, it is so easy to pull the trigger with free shipping!

Tracy,Rising Vapor is on sale online, just click on the link Roxy provided to go into the item page, it's $49.95.

  27. June 8, 2010 / 12:21 pm

It's a little annoying that just one color of the Diamond Light Tank is for sale. I really wanted the ivory.

  28. June 8, 2010 / 12:30 pm

    Thanks so much!

  29. June 8, 2010 / 12:37 pm

Whew. I would love to pick up the Keep it Simple Tunic but there are too many things on my wishlist that I like better. Glad some tops are on sale though! What is up with the product names?! A blouse came out like a month ago and sold out quickly online called "Midday Garden Top." Now I see ANOTHER top called "Midday Garden Top." Good grief. I get that at some point they would recycle names, but twice in the same season? 🙂

  30. June 8, 2010 / 12:44 pm

Yay for the Snowmelt cardi and Daring Dart blouse! I'll be picking those up later today hopefully :)Thanks, Roxy!I actually really prefer these little markdowns every week instead of big sales every other. I hope Anthro permanently changes their sale cycle.

  34. June 8, 2010 / 1:35 pm

Thanks Roxy–you're the best! I don't think I'll pick up anything from the sale this time around but I agree about the free shipping thing! It's so easy and tempting to want to just buy things in your cart!! Did you buy anything from the sale?

  35. June 8, 2010 / 1:41 pm

Woo woo!I also have a birthday discount card. Also added to sale are the first mate blazer and shopping day pants.

how does the daring dart blouse fit? most of the reviews are from smaller ladies. I'm 5'9, 34D usually a medium. 6 or 8 in tops. not sure which size to get.

  38. June 8, 2010 / 2:11 pm

Gemma, I picked up the wine color at Seattle U. Village a couple of weeks ago. When they open in about two hours, it may be worth a call to see if they have one in your size.Anon., I have different measurements, but I can tell you that I found the Daring Dart to run TTS. I took a 2, which is what I typically wear in all Anthro blouses.

  39. June 8, 2010 / 2:40 pm

Nothing for me this time. Thanks, Roxy!

Hey Everyone-The Short Hills NJ location had pretty much all sizes and colors in the new markdowns, plus a bunch from last week too. Here are a few things that stood out. They had one Felted Lei Cardigan, size small for 9.95, but a lot of pilling on it. Also, a Two Paths Trench, size 2 in the back corner of the sale room. A Shoofly Trench, don't know the size.A bunch of the navy/gold Clinging Blossoms cardigans, and a few of the grey/pink ones.A few of the Button Bin cardigans.A Gaillardia skirt in medium.A Cooling Palette dress in a 4 I think (so pretty in real life).Hope some of this is helpful.Happy Shopping!

  41. June 8, 2010 / 4:01 pm

Does anyone have any condition and/ or fit pointers regarding the Climbing Cowlneck? The reviews are all over the place and many mention defects in both materials and construction, especially after washing. I am on the fence and debating whether or not to jump. Many Thanks!

Thanks, Roxy! 🙂 I picked up the Climbing Cowlneck – finally! I sized up in the sky color because I heard it ran a little smaller…I hope this is true for the one I get.Anyone think the Creative Outlet tank will make it to sale soon?

  44. June 8, 2010 / 4:24 pm

Sprung for the rising vapors dress. Officially grounded starting now…

  45. June 8, 2010 / 4:32 pm

Dorothy – try calling customer service or a local store regarding the Diamond Light Tank – my store had all 3 colors on the sale rack. Also, fyi, I tried on every color and thought the quality was poor – it's very sheer, and the material is cheap feeling. Just my opinion and hope that helps!

  46. June 8, 2010 / 4:33 pm

Picked up the Buds and Bunches tank. So happy for free shipping! I don't hate myself for paying $6 for a little top!! Sooo much more likely to pull the trigger!!Thanks Roxy!!

  51. June 8, 2010 / 5:31 pm

RE Climbing Cowlneck + washing, I've machine washed and dried mine (sky color) several times, and it's come out perfectly every time. A friend who knows way more about making clothing than I do commented that it was very well made. I would highly recommend it! I may even be picking up another one in the pink color. (I found it TTS in XS in the sky color, personally.)

  52. June 8, 2010 / 6:27 pm

Any ideas on a skirt that would look good with- and fancy up- the blue Buds and Bunches tee? I've got a summer wedding to attend and as a nursing mama I would rather where two pieces than a dress…

just came back from the Princeton NJ store. Items of note:3 Airmail skirts — size 8, 10, 12one Homegrown dress – size 8a few Snowmelt Cardi's in purple, a whole bunch in grey3 or 4 clinging blossoms cardigans in both colorways – I remember a M in the grey/pink and a S in the navy; no largeslots of Climbing Cowlnecks — mostly light blue, not too many greytwo Lettuce Floret blouses — size 2 and 6Button Bin cardi's — one or two in each sizea few Curio Collar Jackets – I think one was sz 14a bunch of Spilling Ruffles cardi's in the magenta color5 or 6 Gilded Impatiens necklaces in silverThere was one Through-the-Clouds tank in cream, size M, which I see is back-ordered online — I thought maybe it would be marked down because there was only one, but its still full price ($68). I liked it a lot, but couldn't justify FP.wondering if anyone can help me ID a skirt…it was also in the sale rack, only a few left, but was still full price at $98 (I think)… . It's a black pencil skirt, with an embroidered yellow flower design on it – flowers are fan-shaped and the pattern more sparse. I think the brand was Edme. there was only two size 10's, which was still slightly loose on me, but I loved it so much I was planning to buy it were it marked down in some way. anyone know the name/style #/catalog this item is? I know I've seen it before in OOTD's or blogs, but don't have a clue where or when. There were also several Clearly Constructed dresses marked down to $82.96, both size 10. I picked one up, but I'm undecided b/c I think I may be better off with size 8… reviews say it's TTS, only one review said to size up. Anyone own this dress and have any thoughts? is it shrinkable?

    June 8, 2010 / 6:53 pm

forgot to comment on Climbing cowlneck… It didn't quite fit right on me. I'm typically M, sometimes S — broad shoulders so sleeveless tops I tend to go with S — but for some reason the Climbing Cowlneck kept coming off my shoulders in the M. The torso fit fine though. The size small the torso was snugger than I'd like, but the shoulders still looked off.I tried on the light blue, by the way.I love this top and wished it would've fit better but I had to pass on it. hths!

Debbie: THANK YOU SO MUCH!! No wonder I couldn't find it on any of my searches… I kept typing in "Edme skirt"Now I must wait and stalk till this thing (hopefully) goes on sale…

  58. June 8, 2010 / 7:52 pm

I'm sorry, Gemma. I double-checked for you this morning when I was there, and they only had mediums and larges in that color. But I'll be back there on Thursday and will check again just in case someone does an xs return.

  59. June 8, 2010 / 7:55 pm

Hydra, I have the Climbing Cowlneck in three colors (I couldn't help it–it's super flattering!) in XS and I find the fit is tts, but I have the same problem with the it falling a bit off my shoulders here and there. It's not a huge problem (obviously, lol, since I've bought three of these tees) but if you're running around town doing errands, it can be a pain.

    June 8, 2010 / 8:24 pm

Gemma — Try the Nashville, TN store. That's one of the numbers that CS gave me to call for the Buds and Bunches tess in wine in XS. I found one at another store.

  61. June 8, 2010 / 9:07 pm

Hello everyone! I'm not sure if this is the right place to post it, but since it has to do with things on sale I thought it might be.Do you have problems with placing sale items on hold? I've been doing it forever and I didn't know that it was considered a favor. The other day I tried placing something on hold and a rather snappy SA told me that it can't be done and that they were never supposed to do it. I then emailed CS and also got a curt answer saying that no, they don't place sale items on hold, but a store manager may choose to make an exception.Anybody has problems putting sale items on hold? Do you have to do a special dance for it every time? Maybe it's just my local store (Portland, OR), I've had several unpleasant SA encounters there recently. Sort of takes a large chunk of fun away from shopping…

  62. June 8, 2010 / 9:24 pm

Lauren S., Thank you again for looking again and offering to look on Thursday, but thanks to a tip from Diem, I got one from TN.Diem, Thank you for the tip. I called and ordered one from TN. Hopefully, it comes out ok. I've seen some kind of not so "bunched" correctly. The SA was so nice. I know there was a discussion on shipping recently…but I didn't even have to ask. She just said, "of course, shipping is waived and sales tax would be my state sales tax." Now can we all get a SA like that on charge-sends?Thank you Lori (or Laurie)!

  63. June 8, 2010 / 9:54 pm

Anna, I called my store once to place a sale item on hold (for the Verite Dress, which had just been marked down that day) and was told that they could't put sale items on hold, but I could do a paid hold–i.e. I just paid with your credit card over the phone and picked it up a couple of days later. I've done this a few times since then, and it's always worked out fine.

  64. June 8, 2010 / 10:09 pm

Anna – I've been told in the past that you can't put a sale item on hold in general. Occasionally they'd make an exception but in those cases, they only hold a (sale) piece till the close of the day.

  65. Diem
    June 8, 2010 / 10:17 pm

@Anna – I've never had problems putting sale items on hold. My stores will hold the item until end of closing of the next day. It could also be because I'm always in the store, and the SAs know me by name.

  66. Diem
    June 8, 2010 / 10:18 pm

@Gemma — Glad you were able to get the Buds and Bunches tee. The SAs at Nashville store are extremely nice. Never had problems when I call there looking for items. They ship out pretty quickly too.

  67. June 8, 2010 / 10:20 pm

I've never had a problem putting a sale item on hold. In fact a lot of times, when I call to ask about an item, the SA asks if I'm looking for a sale item. Maybe it's a new policy?

Just back from the Boston store, where they had some of these things:the Buds & Bunches Tee in the wine color (all sizes) and beige but no blueClimbing Cowlneck in sky and grayWindcatcher dress (0, 10, 12)lots of Button Bin cardislots of Snowmelt cardis in purple and the light grayone Plaza cardigan in the magenta color, I think either S or XSthe Diamond Light tank — definitely in the ivory and lilac colors, can't remember if the third was there, all on salethe Swift Current cardia couple of Clinging Blossoms cardis in grayThere were also a few Torsade Tees on sale. I think they also have one Cartography Cardigan left in XS (not including the one that the person behind me in line had snatched up, even though she wanted it one size larger).Re the fit of the Climbing Cowlneck: Just didn't work for me. My experience was very similar to LH's above, I think. I'm between sizes so tried sizing down, with the result that it felt too snug in the body but too loose in the shoulders (perhaps because I'm short). They kept falling down — however, the one good thing about that is that it raised the neckline, which otherwise tended to fall to non-work-safe levels when I pushed the shirt's shoulders back up. Too bad, because I've got one coming in the mail that I guess I'm going to have to return. 🙁

  76. June 9, 2010 / 1:15 am

I just left the Tucson store. For those looking they had 1 XS Buds & Bunches tank in the wine color.

  77. June 9, 2010 / 1:43 am

Roxy – oh that's good news! Guess I need to cool my wallet of in anticipation for it. I didn't get the birthday discount this year (so sad, since it's this month), so it's nice to know that at the big sale is on the horizon.

To Anonymous @ 2:53AM:Thanks so much! I'll try calling them first thing this morning – how does this work? Do I ask them to ship it to my local store, or will they ship it to me? (Sorry if these seem like silly questions – I just recently discovered Anthro, so I'm still learning the ropes.)Thanks for your help!

  86. June 9, 2010 / 11:52 am

I just wanted to give a major shout-out to this community. Thanks to you guys I have a lovely pair of Joe's jeans that I got for only $20 and a beautiful Gaillardia Skirt from the Boston Anthro. Thanks!!!@Jen All you have to do is call the store and ask them to find the dress. Once they find the dress you can ask the SA to mail it to you. He or she will take your credit card info, mailing address, and Anthro card information (if you have one). You should receive your dress within a week to 10 days. If you haven't gotten your dress by then, give the store a call and they will be able to find the shipping number and either track the dress for you or give you the information so you can track the shipment's progress yourself. Good luck with the dress!

  87. June 9, 2010 / 11:56 am

@Jen I forgot to mention that you will need the online style number of the dress. Stores don't know the actual names of the dresses and won't be able to find it without the style number.

Hey ladies!I have a question about store returns. If I ordered some jewelry online and had it shipped am I allowed to return it to the stores? I have shipping receipts. Thanks for the help!

  92. June 9, 2010 / 5:08 pm

Kim – Yes, you can return your online purchases in store. Bring whatever you have (like the order form and any bags w/item #s). It makes the SA job a lot easier if you have that! Ordering jewelry is always a gamble, isn't it?

  93. June 9, 2010 / 5:10 pm

Question about PA's… if I bought something and it goes on sale within the 14 day mark, do I have to get the PA within the 14 days too? Or can I get it later? (I'm going out of the country for the next few weeks and I don't want to miss out on a couple items!)TIA!!!

It reminded me a bit of the Hollyhock dress (in the straps, but thicker), but the skirt had very thin stripes, not flowers.-a size L wine buds and bunches tee (and a few in other colors/sizes)Not on sale:-Hinterland dresses (didn't check sizes)-2 size 2 green Beda dresses (and a few white ones)-a stack each of green and navy Blooming lattice cardigans-1 small looping lanes beltHope that helps someone! If anyone comes across a navy or orange Reed shirtdress in size 2, or a red plaid one in size 0 or 2, or a size 0 Ablaze dress, please let me know!purpleandorange0117 (at) gmail (dot) com
