Outfits: Aquatic

Anthropologie didn’t post any new sale items this morning (sad) but they did unveil a new outfits set. The theme this time around is aquatic/submerged and as usual I love multiple looks! I’m also quite taken with the simple set, where the use of light makes it look as though a submerged window is refracting light. Beautiful. The model they chose is lovely and she doesn’t look like she’s starving!

The first outfit above features the Rhomboid Rush Dress ($148, review here) that is soon to be mine. Interesting how even the model is dealing with some tummy pouf from the dress. I like how Anthropologie kept the look simple with just a necklace. Though I like the sandals I’m not liking them in this look. I predict peep-toe heels in my future to finish off my real-life outfit.

Also in this outfit: Wide World Necklace ($48) and Guirlande Sandals ($68)

This look officially put the Granada Tank ($68) on my radar. The lacy straps and bib are perfect summer details. Looks like gladiator sandals aren’t going anywhere given how many looks utilize them. I would love to know more about the necklace but it isn’t available online yet. I will update this post once it becomes available.

Also in this outfit: Silver Steps Sandals ($129) and Gold Standard Shorts ($68)

Ladies, I must tell you that I fell in love with the Buoyant Bunches Cardi ($78). I’ll run my review of it tonight…it’s so soft and slimming and surprising. I’m drawing some inspiration from the belt they used in this look and what a great choice to use Rebekah Maysles’ Wild Imagination Tank ($68) underneath. The blue is a nice punch of color; the tank also comes in a pretty yellow colorway.

Also in this outfit: Joe’s Best Friend [Jeans] ($163), Prairie Field Belt ($44) and Rarin’ To Go Sandals ($138)

I admit I’m not fond of this slubby coattail tiered look currently pervading Anthropologie’s tops yet I love the crisp white of the High Tide Tee ($68). Also worth some love? The long bermuda shorts! I am a fan and hope the Seven Day Bermudas ($78) by Ett Twa will work for me.

Also in this outfit: Golden Crabapple Sandals ($238) and necklace unknown

This look makes me think of Natalie from Fashion, Food and Other Assorted Frivolity. Girl could easily pull of a pair of short shorts like the Straight Semblant Shorts ($88). Me? Pass. Nice to see the Pitter-Patter Blouse ($98, review here) used in this outfits set so I can see a practical application. And yet another pair of sandals for my wishlist — the one that is almost up to 400 items. Anthropologie, you need to have one of those “win your wishlist” contests, stat.

Also in this outfit: Bustled Hoodie ($68), Diamond Mine Sandals ($230) and Condensing Fog Necklace ($42)

Which outfit is your favorite?

Although I was hoping for new items to be on sale, I'm actually relieved! (really, my wallet is). I love the outfit with the Buoyant Bunches Cardi, it looks super comfy and I love the pop of color from the tank underneath!

I just purchased the Buoyant Bunches cardigan and wore it to the mall the other day. A woman literally chased after me and stopped me to ask me about it! It is amazing. I have the mottled grey version and might get the striped one that is in the stores. Note that the heathered gray is 100% cotton while the other colors are rayon/rayon blend.

I think a lot of people were hoping the Openwork Vines skirt was going on sale. It sold out in several sizes last night!

Pretty outfits, and yes, a big, big improvement over the model from the Americana set. Thank goodness Anthropologie isn't going down the anorexic model road.

All of the outfits are very Arizona appropriate! Everyone dresses extremely casual here. Sometimes when I used to watch What Not To Wear, I would usually wonder who would wear some of those outfits here in AZ?! I am looking forward to your review of the Buoyant Bunches Cardi!

I'm getting awfully frustrated with the Canadian Anthro website. Several of the new items aren't available to us in Canada! The lovely Pearly Glow tank (which I saw on you and immediately went to buy it) cannot be shipped here, and the new version of the Winged Victory top is also not able to be shipped here. I emailed CS and they said that some items aren't available to Canadian customers. Why would that be? I don't get it. Even the Berry Bush tights can't be sent here anymore, and I bought some of those months ago. They were shipped without an issue then, but suddenly they can't be anymore? Sigh. The Chocolate Chip dress isn't available for us Canadians either.

I like Pebble Shoal. I'm especially a fan of the Moonrise Necklace. It might have to be my new affordably-priced necklace acquisition 🙂

I'm excited for all the new shoes popping up on the website. :)I don't suppose we can hope for many second cuts this week, eh? A girl can dream!

Carly – That's horrible! I wish that Anthropologie would offer the same products to all of its customers. I would understand if they decided that some of the large furniture pieces aren't shippable outside of the US (just because the cost would make it prohibitively expensive) but clothing? I don't see why certain tights can be sent to Canada while others can't. It really makes no sense! As bad as things are for Canadians, they're even worse for European customers. I also receive e-mails from anthropologie.eu and I'm always shocked at how little is available on that site. Does anyone know if Canada and Britain have their own Anthropologie warehouses? That's the only explanation for the difference in availability of items that I can come up with.

I have a post about the European site in my backlog that I will publish sometime this week, but maybe I should add the Canadian site in there. If you ever need a proxy I am happy to help.Tien – Ah, I see you beat me to the proxy offer. You're such a sweetie. :)Lola – oh yeah, the Moonrise and Condensing Fog necklaces are both on my list.Emily – you never know! I will check in the morning but my hopes are not very high.
