I have noticed a lot of community members sharing in-store deals and spots in the comments of various posts. Inspired by the weekly Seek & Find posts started by the lovely Alexis over at J.Crew Aficionada, I think now is a good time to start a similar weekly post here.
This post is for community members to trade information. You can ask for help in finding an item, report back on what you saw in-store at your local Anthro, ask general questions, make a request, or just stop by to say hello. I love how helpful this community can be!
Some FAQs….
– What does “sub” mean?
It means that people are subscribing to the comment thread. You can do this by checking the “send follow-up comments to x email address” box in the comment form.
– Someone in the comments said they wanted to buy an item from me, but it’s been x hours and I haven’t heard squat. What should I do?
I give people 24 hours for the benefit of the doubt. After that move on to the next person that contacted you.
– Someone said they returned an item at the store 20 minutes ago but I just called the store and it’s gone. What gives?!?
A store associate might have taken a fancy to it or a customer might have grabbed it. Maybe it’s just at the bottom of a big ol’pile. Unfortunately, you’re out of luck.

Thanks to Nina I was able to locate the Sweetbriar Cardi. Happy dance!! Just one more item missing . . . the elusive Embroidered Thicket Blouse.
As of 10:40am, there were the following items in the NY Rockefeller Anthro: -Vermillion Flurry Blouse–saw two 4's, one 6, one 8, and a bunch of 10's -Skyfall Dress–one 6 and one 10 -Bespoke Shirtdress–one L, missing belt -Emmett Corset Top–mostly 6's and up in the black version -a bunch of Bright Side blouses -a bunch of Both Sides blouses, XS-L -a bunch of Landing Field skirts, but didn't see the sizes Maureen at 12:26pm, I also saw a few Cerulean Swing Coats but didn't check the sizes… maybe you could give them a call and see if they have a size 4? Thaks, Sarah C. I don't know how many times I looked through that catalog and didn't find the Laced Dots! I thought I was going crazy because I knew it was in there somewhere. :PI had read somewhere that the Laced Dots was $9.99, but on the catalog it is almost 70. Was the $9.99 one probably one that was slightly torn/ripped/etc?
TheHalcyon, Allie and Carol: The snakebite belt seems to be available online on all colors, have you tried ordering online? Or am I missing something?

Suze, I don't know if this will help, but when I went to the Westport, CT, Anthro on Tuesday, they had a few "gold" (rich yellow, to me) skirts that looked like the Thousand Days Skirt… the cut and lack of pattern made it difficult to tell for certain, though.So if anyone wants to give them a try, maybe they're still there! I don't have their number on me…

Sara–that was what the in stores had them marked down at. But that was what was available. Online/catalog orders WILL NOT price match the store prices. A lot of times, the stores will mark things down to $10 to get it out. Store space is previous and unsold merch can cost money, so they mark it down and move it out.Now, I know some people have bought things online and taken them in for a price adjustment in store, but that falls in a gray area for me. It's not something I would do, and I don't know how the stores feel about it, but I've read it being done successfully, just an FYI.

Also, the Anthropologie in Memphis had its grand opening TODAY (squeeeeee!). Went during my lunch break to check it out, and snagged a bunch of items which sold out in my size online. Anyway, despite it being the grand opening, they had a fully-stocked sale room. Lauren S – Sorry that the Tempting Trellis cardis are not still there. I was at Anthro til 3:00pm yesterday, so they either all got picked up in the late afternoon/early evening, or maybe they just didn't have the time to do a thorough search when you called.I don't think I'll be heading back over there again this weekend, but if I do, I'll definitely be on the lookout for you. :)One other suggestion would be to try calling again today at some point to see if it's a little less busy when you call. Besides, you never know who might have returned something or when something has been put back on the rack from the fitting room…Good luck!

But just a heads up, I purchased 2 of this dress – 1 for me and 1 for a gift, the gift didn't work out. There is a layer of gauzey material over the jeweled neckline and it's coming off. It's coming off on mine too, I think it's because of the weight of the jewels. Anyways, it's still a gorgeous dress, and you just paid $10 for a $288 dress. Also, a tip regarding the snakebite belts- I got one (brown, L) a couple of weeks ago by having one of the Anthro employees (store, not CS) check to see what stores recorded as having some in stock, then have them ship it to me (especially since it's free shipping now for card holders!). Like someone else mentioned, it seems like the stores have a more accurate inventory than CS.

Tiny Cricket-I think you can dress down the Ablaze Dress pretty well w/ a cardi, Dea wears it pretty casually here. I'd just be wary of the length of the dress as it's fairly short.

Hi Anon,I'm typically a 0/2 or xs/s in Anthro clothes, depending on the make.I did try the medium belt on before I purchased it, and there was a little bit of room, but I just figured I would be wearing it with bulkier clothes. Unfortunately, there are some items that aren't as bulky that I'd love to wear the belt with, but it is a little bit loose.Hope this helps!
Tiny CricketI think the ablaze dress is a little tricky because of the bright color. i agree also that the length is on the shorter side. but if you are petite you might be able to pull it off better for work

hi lauren S, i tried both the S and XS and both fit ok. The XS is definitely more snug, but i'm so petite and my arms are short so the S was really long on the sleeves and looked a little silly/bunched up. The XS is much better on me for that reason

Hi guys,So I'm bummed. A while back I ordered a hidden item online and it turned out to be too big in placed, but I thought it would be hopeless trying to size down. Today, I found the same sweater in store that was my size (hurray! It's like fate!), but when I got home, I noticed one hole in each arm, where the hanger had pushed through after months of abuse on the rack. I don't know how well it can be mended, if at all, and I adore this sweater. I'm very sad.My question is: if I don't decide to outright return it, can I call/go and get a PA? Alright ladies, from what I remember of my travels yesterday, I saw:(at Northpark, Dallas, TX):-Skyfall dresses in a variety of sizes -Thicket blouses in 8 and 10-A pair of Chie Mihara Mallard heels in 39-A pair of the brown rose heels that have a bit of a platform to them (NOT the Bouquet of Roses) in either a 9 or a 9 1/2-Spirited Away dresses in 10 and 12(at Highland Park, Dallas, TX):-Felted Lei Cardis in mainly XS and S, but there was one M as of 8:00pmAnd I forget which Anthro I saw the following items at, but they were at either of these two: Enchanted Forest shirts in XS and S (both stores), Pompom cardis in XS and S (I'm not sure whether they were in the sale section or not- I was on a retail high at the time), and plenty of those gray and black plaid dresses that are vaguely reminiscent of the grunge scene in the 90s in a variety of sizes (both stores).

Tysons Corner, VA had: Several Fifth Form Dresses in size 4, and one size 6 marked down 10% because of a broken zipper.From the Green cardi (sorry, didn't catch the size!)I didn't see anything out of the ordinary expect maybe the Stargazer Sweater (Sleeping on Snow, grey with wooden buttons and flowers across the bottom) marked down to $39.95 (was $148) in all sizes.It was all well picked over because I went so late in the weekend.
