Styled: C’est Bon Dress

This post is for coco, who asked for options to winterize the C’est Bon Dress (now $60, no longer online).

Option 1 centers around the idea of layering under the dress. We picked a really nice soft and warm cowlneck by Splendid to start and then from there we were playing with the idea of silver on top and black on the bottom. (And coal in the middle courtesy of the bag.) This is again our city life coming into play. If you want some more color you could go with purple, dark orange, light blues close to grey, or brown. Since the dress is a solid we picked out some fun patterned tights. The look is completed with high boots but pumps or flats would also work. This is a great weekend look that would work in casual offices for work too.

In this outfit:
C’est Bon Dress (no longer online)
Splendid Cowlneck Thermal Top ($78)
Clouded Moon Bag ($158)
Lassoed Asters Earrings ($32)
Multi Layer Chain Necklace ($10)
Calligrapher’s Tights ($38)
Lucky Brand Marie ($199)

For this second look we focused on something to wear over the cardigan. We purposely tried to infuse color but the result is still pretty chic (if we do say so ourselves). The bib necklace should be positioned over the dress but under the cardigan. We like the openness of the cardigan to let the dress show through and would suggest a one-button option if you decide to look for something different. The tailoring is also great.

Even though the teal in the cardi is different than the teal in the dress it works because it’s not matchy-matchy. We brought out the brownish/red tone of the cardi in the purse. Knowing that eventually it has to snow we presented a wedge boot option for some added stability.

In this outfit:

Cole Haan Air Brandi Tall Boot ($400)
