Not only is Sale updated, there’s New Stuff too!

Hopefully by now you’ve read about the Sale updates. Anthropologie is spoiling us big-time by releasing a whole bunch of new arrivals today too. I picked up a trend (at least with the tops…)

Rivers Rise Top ($68)

How beautiful is the puckering on this top?
It really does look like rising water.
For-Keeps Tee ($68)
This looks like great weekend wear to me.
Perfect for running errands. I would pair this
with leggings or skinny cords, boots,
a zip-up hoodie and a warm wool jacket to top it off.
Purlicues Tank ($78)
I tried this top in teal in-store (teal does not seem to be on the site,
not sure if it’s coming later or if it’s a retail-only color).
Review upcoming! But as a brief, it’s close-fitting
and would be great as a layer under a blazer, cardi or sweater.
Or maybe over a turtleneck?
Sewing Basket Top ($68)
Almost a shell, but much softer.
I love all the stitchwork on this top!
Cinched Shape V-Neck ($48)
Anyone noticing a pattern here?
I’m detecting a lot of pink in this release.
Not that I mind — though I was anti-pink as a kid
I’ve grown to love it as an adult.
Allnighter Dress ($278)
It’s almost unfair how Leifsdottir keeps making
these beautiful dresses but Anthropologie teases us
by making them online-only.
This dress doesn’t say it’s only available
on the website but I have yet to see
a Leifsdottir dress in-store this year.
Dear Anthro, please put this dress
and the Horticulture Society Dress ($298) in stores soon!
Curtain Closer Dress ($198)
Another beautiful Corey Lynn Calter number with a lime sash!
Put a lime sash on it and I’m a sucker for it.
Cannot wait to try this one on…
it would be great for holiday parties and date night.
Spirited Stitches Cardigan ($118)
Between this, the Laced Dots Sweater ($128)
and the Tempting Trellis Cardigan ($98)
I am positively begging for winter.
First Flurry Cardigan ($148)
This open air cardigan looks ready
for a night of puzzles or board games in front of the fire.

Evening Abuzz Capelet ($148)
This just looks so cool.
Tea Room Cardigan ($228)
Liamolly presents us with a cardigan
ready for just about anything. I love the colors.

As far as Leifsdottir items, I often see most of them also offered at Nordstrom, online and in-store (though under different names). It's always worth a look if you really want to try something on before purchasing. The new dress at Nordstrom is called the 'Winter Peony' Dress.

Me too Sharon. I am trying so hard to stick to my new budget but I am already tempted to break it. My goal is to see which items might sell out and grab those, but then wait for sale on everything else.zyzzyva, great advice! I always forget that Leifsdottir is carried elsewhere. There is no Nordstrom in Manhattan unfortunately but the Bloomingdales both carry the line. Thank you for the tip. 🙂

Have you or any other bloggers seen the Neat & Sleek boots? I am really pining for them… but no one has reviewed them yet!!

Hi Anon! I have not seen the Neat & Sleek boots yet but I haven't made it to the store to shop in almost a week (which is like forever for me). I would like to buy them so hopefully they appear soon — I will keep an eye out.

Roxy – thanks for keeping your eye out. They are so lovely looking online…but you never know. So, if you see them, a review would be appreciated! I love your reviews. Keep up the great work!

hey roxy 🙂 so, i was in the fashion valley anthro in san diego tonight and they had the leifsdottir allnighter dress! i'm not sure if they regularly carry leifsdottir dresses because i'm traveling for work, but i tried it on because i was surprised to see it (especially remembering your comment in this entry today). i'm usually a 6 and it was definitely tight on the hips and short…i didn't bother with the 8 because the top easily fit in the 6 and i'm sure it would start to look weird, but it was pretty 🙂

Hi Maureen — Thank you so much for the review of the All-Nighter Dress! I'm disappointed that it wasn't a total winner on you but it gives me hope that it will show up in stores here on the East Coast soon. Much appreciated! 🙂

Roxy, I have a Q for you that maybe you can help me with, regarding new arrivals… on Monday they listed a new top called FLOURISHING OBI, a grey top w/ beautiful embroidery across the bust…I immed put it in my shopping cart. On Tues I look at my shopping cart and its SOLD OUT! In ALL sizes… so I called CS and the gal didnt really give me an answer as to what happened to it… she told me it was sold out online ( which I knew) so I asked her to locate it in a store for me, and she said that Sm and MED are not avail in any stores… I asked if this was something they listed online then pulled for some reason ( availability issues?) and she said she didnt know but her computer shows 12 of them sold! And its not on BackOrder What do you make of this??? This is so freaky…Esp since this top looks amazing!!!Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth, it was pretty shocking to see how fast the Flourishing Obi Tank sold out! The designer, Helene Florence, is not one that I recognize and a Google search didn't turn much up either. Unfortunately I don't have any insight into what the deal is. I wouldn't be surprised to see it make it into select stores even if their online inventory is depleted. I'd say wait a week and then call Customer Service again.

  13. November 18, 2009 / 1:20 pm

Thanks for the quick response Roxy 🙂 Its all so strange…I'll do as you suggested, wait a week and try again…it has to show up somewhere, in some stores inventory… no way can there only be 1 dozen items avail …and then. POOF…sold out… if I find it I will buy it ASAP :))) Now I'm on a mission,LOL …have a great day Roxy! Thanks again….Elizabeth

I think I need the For Keeps Tee!! I don't have an Anthro near me…if anyone tries it on will you let me know how sizing is?

  15. November 18, 2009 / 3:51 pm

Elizabeth, so I can help you in your search, what size are you looking for the Floating Obi in? J, agreed, if anyone tries it on please report back. I'll look for it to include in an upcoming review post too.

  16. November 18, 2009 / 4:15 pm

Really excited to see your review of the Purlicues tank! I already like two of the colors…(tries to hide Visa from self…)

  17. November 18, 2009 / 9:52 pm

Hi Roxy, Floating Obi mot sure if i am a SM or a MED…I don't own anything by this designer…thanks for any help! I stopped by my B&M Anthro today and they dont know what to make of it's dissappearing act either… FYI, I bought the Gold Coast Blouse today, by Floreat…its wht sleeveless w/ fine gold thread thru the blouse, w/ a small ruffling around the neck… it's a 4 season blouse, very cute and very versatile…back to Floating Obi, Roxy, any info you get on it is very much appreciated 🙂
