Email: A saturated sale

Clever subject line in your latest email Anthropologie. A nod to hues or an exasperated commentary on the state of your inventory? Either way I am glad for the sale from which I continue to slowly pick up items that teased from your summer line.

With apologies for sounding repetitious I am shocked by how quickly some items are hitting the sale — several items featured in the June catalogue have already been marked down, like the Accordion Panel Skirt (now $80) and the Mulholland Tank (above, now $40). Now is when I’m really yearning for light, white cottony tops and shorts. While I’m thankful to see them on sale it would benefit stores to be featuring those items now rather than transitioning to fall already. Let me enjoy the green a little longer before it yields to browns and golds.

How is the sale section faring at your local Anthro? Soho continues to hold the best stock by me.

I haven't been to a store in a while, but I checked my online wishlist for the first time in ages and the petal t-shirt was marked down to $10! Score!

My Anthro. is pretty much picked over. Everything is back in the room and no special finds. I am dying for a crochet clog review. Has anyone seen the shoes or tried them on in real life?

I feel like Anthro online and in-store has had the same merchandise on sale forever. I only noticed a few, and I mean few updates online yesterday after that email was sent. But I agree with you – cannot believe how quickly some items are making it to the sale rack. That Riveted Skirt I posted on my blog yesterday was in the new arrivals last week!
