Anthropologie updated the {for your home} section of their website for Spring. I love the Andalucía collection they just unveiled! I was up in Connecticut over the weekend and noticed several pieces on display at the Westport Anthro store. A few years ago my then-guy went to Costa De La Luz and brought me back a gorgeous Andalucían pot. His pictures were amazing and I still dream about traveling there someday.
A few pieces caught my eye, like the Talvera Pillow ($128) and the Wild Tile Potholders ($14) but the Andalucía Bedding ($58-$228, above) is my favorite from the collection. I love the mixture of patterns and I think it would make it a lovely set for a Spring/Summer guest bedroom. You could settle under the sheets and pretend you were sunning on the Costa del Sol.
Are they just named after places in Spain and evocative of Spain or actually made in Spain? A lot of the crockery found at Anthropologie is made in China and frankly, after all the tainted food and toys and products issues that China has had in the past 2-3 years has given me the heebie-jeebies about buying anything that is originally made in China.
My guess is that they are just named after places in Spain. Not quite the same as if the pieces had come directly from the moor, but at least they're duty-free.
