I can’t get over all the cute pieces at Walmart right now! They’ve made my Fall shopping so easy with both their in-store brands like Time and Tru and No Boundaries as well as their collaboration collections with the likes of Scoop and Anna Sui (one of my all-time favorite designers!).
As Fall arrives Walmart is on top of its clothing game, calling out trends and filling collections with budget-friendly items to shop. In this post I’m taking a look at some of my favorite Walmart We Dress America Fall Trends!
First up this is my take on Walmart’s 70s Revival trend. Admittedly, when I think 70s my thoughts tend to go towards a lot of polyester, flares and crazy neon colors. Luckily Walmart skipped all of that and went for 70s style ideas with a much more modern take.
Think: Stripes and paisley patterns in updated silhouettes. Faux leather and faux animal print. Block heels and chunky jewelry.
Colorblocking comes into play in my wide-striped No Boundaries dress. The dress is so flattering on! It hugs me in all of the right places. I love the stripe and the zip neckline. This is a juniors’ brand so instead of a medium I’m in a size large, mostly for length. Together with the faux leather jacket (which feels great, not like plastic) I feel so put together!
And then, how fun are these accessories? The sneakers look very similar to a super expensive brand in colorblocking that’s very 1970s, but still updated. My bag has such beautiful embroidered lasercuts on soft suede, also a hallmark of the Walmart 70s revival.
I love so many of the 70s revival pieces in the Walmart We Dress America Fall Trends! Below, some of my favorites from the trend page. And if you want more accessories ideas for this trend check out the Resin Jewelry trend page too!
Next up in the Walmart We Dress America Fall Trends is Pretty Prairie. When I saw the name of this trend I immediately knew I’d love many of the pieces! It’s a mix of boho, rustic and casual pieces all made to look laid back and chic.
I have to start with the boots because even with heels they are like walking on pillows! You’ll see them again with my next outfit. They are my usual size 9. I have found the Time and Tru brand at Walmart to be comfy and of excellent quality. In fact most of this outfit is from Time and Tru!
In terms of sizing I’m wearing my usual size medium in all of the clothing. I wish I’d sized down to a small in the shirt — it’s roomy! As you’ll see on the product page the shirt has cute ruffles and is sleeveless. It’s so made for layering!! I love the quilting details on the jacket.
There is so much to love in the Pretty Prairie selection!! This is probably my favorite of the Walmart We Dress America Fall Trends. Picks below.
What goes well with Pretty Prairie? Statement Boots! It’s another Fall trend that I’m all about, and Walmart has all sorts of beautiful pairs for under $30. Here are some of the pairs catching my eye.
If you don’t love animal prints then now may be a tough time for you to go shopping. Animal prints are everywhere! On tops, shoes, belts, coats, jackets, sweaters, bags…everything has animal print! For a person like me who does love tastefully deployed animal print, the Walmart We Dress America Fall Trends have hit the spot. Their Animal Instincts page has so many cute pieces!
The Love Sadie top I’m wearing is such a hit among my friends! The smocking detail around the neckline is exquisite. I don’t usually like high necklines unless it’s from a turtleneck, but here it totally works! The fit is also great, making me appear even taller and leaner than I am! This top runs huge. I’m in a small here and it’s loose. I ended up exchanging my usual size medium for this smaller size. Everything else in the look runs true to size.
How do you feel about animal prints? Are you a fan? Or do you avoid them? Some of Walmart’s takes on this trend are sparing. For instance these sneakers have just a stripe of animal print, which is a good way to dip your toes in the trend.
As I mentioned at the top of the post, in addition to all of their takes on trends Walmart also has some awesome collaboration collections right now! If you follow me on Instagram you saw my Stories about attending the Scoop launch party last week! (I’ll make it a Stories highlight so you can see it even if you missed it before).
Are you familiar with Scoop? It was the NYC It store for many years. After college I was so excited when I could finally afford to buy clothing there! The owner decided to move in a different direction and the Scoop stores all closed. I’m thrilled to see the brand back at Walmart because of its fashion forward point of view, endless mix and match potential, and friendly price points! This collection is also size inclusive. You can shop some of my favorites below or shop the entire collection.
Finally, Walmart has also teamed up with Anna Sui for a very beautiful, highly affordable collaboration called Sui by Anna Sui! The Fashion Gods truly are smiling down upon me. I’m in love with every single piece of this collection. Which one is your favorite? Shop all of the pieces below.
So now you’re all caught up on Walmart! Which trend is your favorite from the Walmart We Dress America Fall Trends? Are you a Pretty Prairie girl like me, or is Animal Instinct more your thing? Do you love the 70s Revival, or are you just happy for some comfortable Statement Boots? If you want to see even more Walmart trends make sure you didn’t miss this post!
