As much of the community here knows, I love luxury bags! I own a few Chloé bags, a couple of Céline bags, and thanks to an inheritance two Hermès bags. However, I am also a big believer that there’s no need to drop $$$$ (or $$$$$!) on the ideal bag, purse, satchel or tote for any look. That’s why this post is devoted to cute bags under $75! The purses in this post can instantly upgrade your wardrobe or refresh an outfit you may have fallen out love with. Most of the bags in this post are under $50.
Let’s begin with the Bow Messenger Bag ($40), above in yellow. How adorable is the bow? I love the vintage style and the size is perfect for days when I don’t need to carry my laptop but do want my iPad with me. If the yellow color is too intense for you the bag comes in 4 more colors. This same brand also makes a beautiful large briefcase backback and a lasercut large messenger bag.
Not every functional bag has to be large. I’m in love with this small bowler bag, which isn’t big enough to hold a large wallet. That said it is perfect for days when I have more than I can carry in my two hands, but less than a big bag is necessary for. I own the black color and am also considering ordering the rose. Despite being small it has three pockets inside which make it easy to keep my items like lipstick, keys, my iPhone, Metrocard and money sorted and separated. Oh and did I mention that this bag is under $15? If you like the style of this bag but wish it were just a bit bigger, try this Bee Shoulder Bag, which has two colorways in a larger size for $26.
Sometimes these cute bags under $75 look better than the luxury bag they’re imitating! I’ve never been much a fan of Chloé’s Hudson Bag but I looooove this Vintage Tassel Shoulder Bag ($36)! It’s bigger than it looks online and it comes in three classic colors (black, brown or the grey shown above).
I also love that these sellers take the time to wrap these bags for shipping just like a luxury bag — or better! It’s so fun receiving a bag like the one above and finding every tassel carefully wrapped in tissue paper, every zipper pull protected for shipment and the inside stuffed full of paper and surprise delights!
Having lots of cute bags under $75 is a great way to keep up with trends when you desire. For example, I like the straw bag trend but I’m not feeling the $250+ pricetag most of the options carry. The Square Straw Crossbody above comes in at a much more palatable $19. I also love this large round straw bag (with pom-poms!) for $27 and this Bali-style rattan bag for $42.
