The Anthropologie mid-April 2018 sale promo and other weekend deals & steals

It’s going to be an active weekend here! There are lots of great promotions and sales happening and I’ve got a couple of outfit posts to share that feature newly marked down items. So in addition to this post, make some time this weekend to stop back here and see all delights to come. In the meantime, let’s lead off this weekend roundup with the Anthropologie mid-April 2018 sale promo.

There are lots of fresh cuts this morning in Anthropologie’s sale section and all sale is still an extra 25% off! This makes for lots of shopping fun as some of Anthro’s cuter newer items are starting to creep into sale. Probably not great for them, but lovely for us! Topping my recommendations? I own and love the Merian Cowl Neck Top (now $30 + 25% off), above in turquoise and also available in grey. It’s been such a fabulous work piece for me because it’s on the longer side and works well under moto jackets and blazers. I’ll be sharing an OOTD with it this weekend.

Another item I want to highlight is the Albeit Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 (now $20 + 25% off). I don’t talk about Anthro’s beauty items much, mostly because I’m annoyed it’s stolen floor space away from clothing and accessories. However I must say that this tinted moisturizer is fantastic. Like, really really good. In the Summer I sweat at the drop of a hat and break out even faster if my makeup is too heavy. This stuff has great coverage for my natural redness yet doesn’t block my pores. According to one review it’s also great on people of color. I wish the SPF were more like 50. Still that’s my only quibble and it’s a small one on a product that’s so easy to reapply. I plan to stock up on this stuff.

Madewell.

Much to my surprise, much of Madewell’s Spring collection has already hit sale! And all that sale goodness is an additional 30% off with code YAY30. My friend who works at Madewell says they needed room in-store for the new Summer items coming in. I recently shot two outfits for Madewell with a third on the way — and I haven’t even had a chance to share them here on the blog yet!! You’ll also see me in the lovely and beautiful Margeurite Dress (now $100 + 30% off, wut) which I highly recommend at this steal of a deal! Also, the Claudia Heels (now $125 + 30% off) have been a constant wear recently. Plus even more.

This all has me feeling just a bit flustered because there is so much goodness at Madewell right now! I want to talk about it all before it’s too late! Instead, in the interest of not overwhelming you all at once, let me highlight several new-to-sale items that are great.

Firstly, several versions of Madewell’s cute wrap top made it to this sale promo. If I had to pick one I’d vote for the Denim Wrap Top (now $59 + 30% off), which runs the longest and the largest of all the wrap tops. I also own and love the Wrap Top in Star Scatter (now $50 + 30% off), which has a crisp structure to it that makes every outfit look lovely. The Wrap Top in Flower Toss (now $66 + 30% off) is a temporary markdown I’m told. Of all the wrap tops I’ve tried on, this one runs the shortest and the smallest. Instead of my usual medium I needed an x-large in it!

Sephora.

If you’re a Sephora VIB or Beauty Insider, you’ve got a discount this weekend! Sephora VIBs can take 15% off their purchases and Beauty Insiders can take 10% off their purchases. And if you’re a Rouge Insider and missed last weekend, you have this weekend to take 20% off your purchase too! I guess I’ve been doing too much purchasing at brand boutiques because I’ve been knocked down to Beauty Insider this year, le sigh.

I still plan to take advantage of this promotion however! No matter what kind of beauty you’re in the mood for Sephora has you covered. Lately I’ve been playing around with false eyelashes. My lashes are already very long but with blonde tips, and I’ve been wanting to pump up the volume. I am in love with the Effortless – No Trim – Natural Lash Collection ($26 + discount). They do in fact look very natural on and it’s one of the easier sets of lashes + glue I’ve tried so far. There’s also the Eyeshape Lash Kit ($45 + discount) which comes with two sets of lashes. The hooded set has been great for my eye shape!

Fragrancewise, I want to put a good word in for the Marc Jacobs Daisy Rollerball Trio ($45 + dicount). They are the perfect fragrances for Spring! I’ve included them, as well as some of my other fragrance picks (including for Alex — I get him Chanel’s Bleu every so often). Also, I have picks for your eyes and skin.

 

DSW.

DSW keeps throwing promotions our way. I’m loving it! I was in major need of several new pairs of shoes. It seems like half my pairs wore out at the same time! This weekend, you can take $10 off your $49 purchase, $20 off $99 and take $60 off $199 at DSW. Use code SUNSHINE.

Some of my recent DSW wins include the Courtset Sneakers ($40-$55) and Cloudfoam QT ($60) from Adidas, the New Balance 635 ($60) and the Cigola Flat from Kelly & Katie ($40). I also recently ordered two K-Swiss sneakers which I’ll share in my picks below. For this promo I’m very interested in ordering these Dolce Vita wedges and these sandals. Also I find myself torn between these perforated slip-ons and these, which do you like better?
