Weekend Deals & Steals Around the Webby World

Hello from condo-hunting land up in Connecticut, where I’ve got some great news: we think we found a new home for Mom! Our offer is in and accepted and we hope that the inspection will go flawlessly so we can close the deal. Thank you so very much for your patience while my Sis and I help our Mom through this important step in her life.

What have I missed? Well, a lot and yet not so much, right? I hope you’re enjoying travel month — which will continue for the next couple of weeks. Alex and I are off to surf camp on vacation this week, and then I’ll be back to tending to Mom for one more week when I’m back.

For now, let’s talk current deals. Firstly, check your emails Anthro lovers! On February 1st, select customers received an email offering 20% off for you, and 20% off for a friend. This email-only code works on full-price purchases only. I have a full post for the upcoming week on this, but I thought I’d mention it here too so that if you have a code and don’t plan to use it you can share it in the comments. Did you receive this email? I got it at one of my email addresses signed up with Anthropologie but not the other.

There’s just not really much at Anthropologie tempting me right now, but I do like the Landscape Intarsia Cardigan ($148), the Wildflower Moto Jacket ($148) and the Fillmore Top ($58). Earlier this week my BFF took me to BHLDN to try on wedding dresses, and I fell in love with the Ariane Gown ($1,400) — alas it’s being discontinued so I doubt it will be my dress, but it sure is lovely on. Below is the Cabriole Gown (now $500), another dress I tried on and loved.

Also this weekend, Anthropologie is offering an extra 25% off sale items. I’ve got most of my picks for this offer in the shoppable boutique at the end of this post. Have you done any plundering during this promo? I recently helped a personal shopping client find the Sleeveless Lace Shell (now $40 + 25% off), and although it doesn’t come with a layering cami which is a total bummer, it looks great on, especially under a blazer! I also like the Fluttered Cutwork Blouse (now $60 + 25% off) and the Macie Lace Dress (now $99 + 25% off), both of which are also good work options with the right laying pieces.

Elsewhere around the webby world, Madewell is offering 20% off select fun v-day stuff (that’s Valentine’s Day, not some other v-word). There’s lots of cute stuff to love in this special, like the Small Transport Drawstring Crossbody (now $103 in select colors), the Micropleat Top (now $36) in select colors and the Warren Jacket (now $79). I initially thought all pink stuff was in this promo, however some cuties like the Apron Bow Back Dress (now $60) didn’t make the cut…though it’s on sale and well worth the grab! More picks from this one in the shoppable boutique at the end of the post.

You’ll also find picks from LOFT’s $20 off wear now/wear later sweater promo and Sundance’s 10% off orders of $100+ offer (full details in a post coming up soon or here). I own and adore the Striped Cold Shoulder Sweater (now $20 off!) in both colors.

Love the Arianne gown!!!! Too bad it is being discontinued. There was a dolan left coast dress I had in my basket (a v-neck cotton work dress) and oddly it vanished out of my cart and off of my wish list. I don't know if appeared online too soon or they had the wrong picture but my pick vanished right from under my eyes LOL!. I will have to take a look before the code vanishes but I need a closet clean out before I stuff more in there. Happy shopping folks!

I think I saw that Dolan dress too! Did it come back while I was away or has it stayed disappeared?

Yay! So glad you found your mom a nice place, Roxy! Praying for inspections to go well and for closing to run smoothly.

I did get a code, and am thinking about using it, as I am giving up shopping for Lent (so I might have to disappear for a while). I've been grabbing lots of popbacks. These earrings are so pretty: They are listed as black, but a deep wine color features prominently. https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/acomedia-beade… This dress is also so pretty. The jumpsuit underneath is ridiculous – it's essentially a leotard, but I have a ton of slips I can use.(like the laced-hem slip dress, which I nabbed for $7.50!) Size down: https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/embroidered-ov… Also got this dress to try, but I'm likely returning it because I already have similar ones: https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/embroidered-ov

Over at Sundance I got these boots when they were an additional 40% off the sale price. They are gorgeous, and incredibly comfortable: https://www.sundancecatalog.com/product/avielle+b… Eyeing this blouse, it's so feminine (the contradicting reviews are leaving me scratching my head, though): https://www.sundancecatalog.com/product/veronica%… Also, how cool is this wall hanging? Really hoping it hits sale: https://www.sundancecatalog.com/product/acoustic+

      Nice picks, Anthropolitan–thanks for sharing!

    • February 20, 2018 / 9:21 am

Thanks Anthropolitan! The inspector found some stuff that needs to be fixed, mostly all minor except one plumbing issue, so we're negotiating with the seller now. Crossing my fingers that all goes smoothly.

I LOVE those Sundance boots! And the blouse.

If folks are looking for something to spend their coupon on, I highly recommend the Michael stars rushed mini dress. I purchased one in blue a few years ago at a local boutique and it is my summer going out dress. I will definitely purchase another and possibly three (all colors). It is very flattering especially for those with athletic builds.

I used my 20% off on French knot cardi and it’s lovely. Well made, cotton& cashmere mix and has just enough detail. For me it’s true to size but might not work for tall ladies. I’m 5’4 and a bit. Highly recommend!
I’m also loving new AG denim jackets in all 3 colors. The stock for those is going down pretty quick.
Also I really like the utility shirt dress in blush but hesitant to order without a review and the dress is not available until later in February. Stock on that one is low already 🙁
Have you noticed a new brand at Anthropologie, Aldomartins? I like pretty much everything by them at the moment and wondering about the fit.

Oh, wow – the Aldomartins is cool! The knit dresses remind me a bit of Cecilia Prado.

Love the winona dress – wishlisted!

    • February 20, 2018 / 9:22 am

The AG jackets are great — I own one and it's such a staple for me.

Nice to "see" you, Roxy; glad to hear the condo hunting is going well!

I bought the Bailey 44 Faux Leather Flounced Dress, which is not actually "flounced" at all; it is a pencil shape. I don't see it online now but it seems to still be around in stores. It's really flattering and comfortable.

Also got the Kinston wrap top in the pink color. It's way better on than in the photo.

    • February 20, 2018 / 9:24 am

Thanks Kelly, lovely to hear that! I love that Bailey 44 dress, I have a similar dress from a few years ago and was also feeling confused by the "flounced" name when it's really anything but…? *shrugs*

I didn't know you were looking for wedding dresses, how exciting!!!

A little OT, but my closest Anthro store is becoming a design center and I am just wondering what that means exactly. It is not a large space so it seems like there won't be much room for clothing if they fill it with furniture. And I am not sure if I will still be able to make clothing returns there? Just wondering if anyone knows more about this…

    • February 20, 2018 / 9:26 am

I am!! I have an upcoming appointment at Kleinfeld's of "Say Yes to the Dress" fame and also a couple of highly recommended studios here in Brooklyn. It's a very exciting time in my life!!

The design center just means that they'll have large binders with fabric swatches, color samples and print samples of rugs. It doesn't necessarily mean they'll have furniture or rugs or anything in-store, though I totally get your concern!

Does anyone know how to find the current sale price of an item that is sold out?

      • February 20, 2018 / 9:26 am

I'm not sure that you can anymore.

  10. February 20, 2018 / 4:43 pm

If anyone has a friend code they're not using, I would be grateful. For some reason, Anthro emails no longer come to my Inbox. I have tried working with their tech team for years to get it fixed, but I still don't get them. 🙁

Does anyone have an extra 20% off code please or for a friend 20% off?
    Thanks!
