Hi friends! My name is Megan Elliott and I’m a style and travel blogger over at Lush to Blush. I started my blog six years ago as my creative outlet. I have a passion for writing and a love of fashion, so it just made sense. Over the years, my content has grown with me. I started traveling about two years ago, and I haven’t been able to stop since. I absolutely love sharing my travels with my readers and Instagram followers! My favorite places to visit are big cities and tropical islands. I love exploring new places, especially if I can bake in the sun half the time!
My most recent trip was to an island in Turks & Caicos for my Caribbean series. I love the Caribbean because of the relaxed vibes, rich culture, friendly locals, and of course, delicious food! Turks & Caicos was extra special for me because I spent my 30th birthday there with 10 of my best friends. It was a dream come true!
One of the most exciting Caribbean trips I’ve taken, was my visit to Cuba. I learned so much about the culture by truly immersing myself in the city. It’s so important for me to really experience the places I visit – I don’t stay at resorts the whole time, I don’t go to the hot spots, I explore on my own. One of my favorite things to do when traveling is to rent a car and just go. No map, no agenda, nothing. I’ve had the best experiences of all my travels this way. I’ve stumbled upon countless locally owned hole-in-the-wall shops and restaurants, and aren’t those the best?!
