As Black Friday weekend draws to a close the online deals are far from over — we can expect the level of discounting to get deeper and deeper as December opens, followed by some craziness for the retailers looking to finish the calendar year solidly in positive results.
Before all that truly begins, Nordstrom, one of the more sane retailers out there and a sponsor of this blog, has a special offer that runs through tonight. Select sale items are an extra 20% off! All of the items in this promotion are marked on the product page.
This is one of my “gifts for you and gifts for me too” offers that feel extra yummy. You’ll find lots of new sale items as well as temporary additional cuts — the highly-rated Lynx Stretch Over the Knee Boot seen above for example is now just under $60 thanks to that extra 20% off. For us wide calves I noticed the Poly Riding Boot (now $128) and the Felicia Knee High Boot (now $144) are both included in this extra nice deal, and available in regular calf widths too.
Also shown above is Joie’s beautiful Arleth Cold Shoulder Silk Dress (now $314), which is on sale but not in the extra 20% off promotion. Another very pretty Joie frock to consider is the Xyla Silk Dress (now $187), which I own and adore and is included in the extra savings special offer.
My faaaaaaavorite Fall/Winter jacket, the Astra Jacket (now $113) also made it into this offer. This thumb-holed jacket keeps in my body heat like no other! It’s great for hikes, walks on the beach, anything where you don’t mind being chilly for the first couple of minutes before being satisfyingly warm via its light, manageable layers. The jacket runs a little small — I went up to a large for the best fit over my hips.
While Madewell excluded its Transport totes from its Black Friday weekend promo in a bit of a Scrooge move, Nordstrom saw fit to include the ‘The Transport’ Leather Tote (now $126, above in the english saddle color) in their sale items — yay! There are other Madewell items in Nordstrom’s sale too which I’ve included in the shoppable boutique at the end of this post.
Other great accessories deals in this sale include the Ray-Ban Standard Original 58mm Aviator Sunglasses (now $135) which are available in several mirrored hues. I found sale and promo items from personal favorites Tory Burch, Ted Baker, Sam Edelman and Dolce Vita too.
