Also, Sundance has free shipping, Garnet Hill has 25% off, Macy's has 30% off the Anna Sui collection, and WHBM has get 50% off one item when you spend $200 or more. Which means that you can apply that to a suede or leather jacket. 🙂

This is gonna be an expensive weekend.

Ha! Hopefully a fulfilling one, shopping-wise, too.

Lord & Taylor is running a promotion for Charity. You get 30% off until Saturday if you spend $250+.
Somehow Marc Jacobs was left off exclusion list and I made off like a bandit ?

Rec'd the Tupelo Floral Dress and Collegiate Drawstring Pullover in the mail. Love both, no sizing issues! Glad I didn't hesitate on ordering.

Yay! So glad they both worked out.

This is OT, but, as promised, I wanted to provide a review of two BR maxi dresses. The first is the paisley maxi dress from the Banana Republic x Olivia Palermo collection: http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/product.do?c

I'm only 5'1", so I ordered the petite version of the dress. On me, the waist of the dress hits about 1-2" above my natural waist (and I have a short torso!), so as Roxy mentioned in an earlier post, this dress would best fit those who have short torsos. I found the dress to be TTS (in the petite size), and the colors are more vibrant than is depicted online. The dress is a high-low style, and the front of the dress hits about 2" below my knee and the lowest part of the dress grazes my ankle bone. It's made out of silk and is fully lined. I'm leaning toward keeping it but I have to make sure I would get enough wears out of it!

The other maxi dress I tried is this one: http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/product.do?c
(note to Roxy: I don't know how to embed pictures, otherwise I would have done so! Please feel free to switch out these links for yours)

I again ordered the petite version and found it to fit TTS. The color of the dress is much nicer than is depicted in the photos; it's a deeper teal closer to the video in the description. In fact, the video gives an accurate indication of how the dress fits. I want to keep this dress as well, but I'm trying to justify two new maxi dress purchases . . .

I got my dresses, Christina! I loooove the maxi! It's really different and special, and I just feel really good wearing it! The colors are gorgeous! I'm 5'4" and went with the petite too, and that was the right choice for me.

I also got this one in black, and adore it. It's 1940's glamour all the way. I'm between a 6-8, and went with the 8. Really flattering! http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/product.do?c

Yay, Anthropolitan–I'm glad the dresses worked out for you! Yes, the paisley maxi is unique–which is precisely why I'm going to keep it as well. And, wow–that velvet dress is something! I completely missed it during the recent promo, but I will try to see if my local store has it in my size. Thanks for letting me know about it!

They sound perfect! I am camping this weekend so I can't add photos but thank you for letting me know, I will swap once I'm back!!

The Loft ankle pants are really cute! I like both the red and the gray pair. And the floral blouse is really pretty! I may try to stop by Loft over the weekend (first time in many months). The blouse will go nicely with the mustard pencil skirt in wool that I recently got from JCrew Factory.

I made my first ever purchase at Zara today – a cute black and cream striped short sleeve sweater with pearls – no promo but cheap!

I went by Banana Republic. Nothing going on – I do like the pink wool Sloan's. But, I am holding out for the Olivia Palermo leather mini skirt in the snake print to go on deep discount. It's not worth $500, maybe half, or slightly less.

Talbots and Lily Pulitzer may also be stops – both sent coupons, which is always a great incentive.

Finally, I am planning on getting the Erica Shirt from Tory Burch during the fall customer event. Sadly, I didn't find much else I liked this time. Spring offerings were far prettier IMO.

I just received orders from Club Monaco (a white sleeveless dress and Lamae Trench – Excellent and well made) and J Crew so that's about it for me. I'm almost done with my fall shopping for the season (please don't hold me to that I still want 2 cashmere sweaters from Club Monaco ?).

Oh my god I loooooove that OP snake skirt. I should have bought it during the promo earlier this week. Now, we wait!

Does Madewell have a promo at the moment? One of the items in my cart says excluded from promo.

    • September 24, 2017 / 4:41 pm

People who recently placed orders are receiving cards for 20% off their next purchase in the orders, and I've heard select stores are giving out the cards with purchase too.

Madewell is having a promo today but alas everything I want (the splits 59 workout wear) are excluded. Bummer!

Sad! But also yay! Post is up for it now.
