You’ve already read about Madewell’s fantastic promo this week. And Shopbop’s equally great promo of the moment.

Ready to sale? And get an extra 25% off while you’re at it? That’s the proposition at Free People right now — and I’m in! Actually to be more specific I was already in last week and juuuuusssssttt squeaked in to their PA period. No code required if you order online…discount applies at checkout.

Free People’s been making me very happy lately with its beautiful prints, focus on embroidery and crazy fun that has true joie de vivre. Although some of their stuff skews far too young, many of their items have taken a mature-enough turn that emphasizes the celebration of youthful life without making me feel like I’m still dressing like a teenager.

In the sale section you’ll find lots of intriguing takes on proportion, joyful uses of color and details worth celebrating. This extra 25% has me looking towards jackets, where the Sweet Paradise Jacket (now $300 + 25% off, above in black leather and below in pink suede) becomes even more appealing with the extra percent off. Ditto the Two Faced Embroidered Jacket (now $200 + 25% off) which I’d also like to have in both colorways.

These cute jackets aren’t the only highly-detailed items in the sale section. I’m also enjoying the sleeves of the It’s A Cinch Buttondown (now $70 + 25% off), the reversible metallic-to-matte sheen of the Slouchy Vegan Tote ($50 + 25% off) and the accents of the She’s So Flirty Mini Dress (now $40 + 25% off).

You’re likely to find lots of dresses to love on sale too, especially the Much Ado Mini Dress (now $50 + 25% off, above) which comes in 4 colors. I also see winners in the True Tomboy Printed Midi Dress (now $70 + 25% off) and the Makin’ A Statement Mini Dress (not yet showing sale price but in the sale section??) which is surprisingly curve-friendly!

The item I’d already gotten is the Secret Origins Pieced Lace Tunic (now $70 + 25% off), which is on sale in multiple colors. This runs TTS and is great over leggings or tights with tall boots! There are also a bunch of colors at full price, and I also love it’s non-sleeved cousin the Cross My Heart in Lace Tunic ($108) and the beautifully embroidered Paradise Mini Dress ($148) that even has pockets!!

If nothing in sale is tempting you, here are 25 of my favorite new Free People arrivals:

Below are my picks for the extra 25% off sale promotion. Happy Sale Hunting!

Ordered the She’s So Flirty minidress in green last night and it already shipped! Hoping it’s not a big sack because I love that color-hoping I can do tights and tall boots with maybe a Lacey skip under it. Looks pretty sheer.

It's definitely pretty sheer in the skirt, but above the drawstring it's not too bad. I think the drawstring will also help keep it from being a sack! Nice pickup. Let us know what you think when it arrives?

It came today! ( I’m lucky not to live too far from the newer wharehouse in Gap, PA).
I love it! I’m a 10/12 on top and ordered the medium in green. What’s nice about it is that you can tie the upper back tie as loose as you want, along with the side ties. I don’t think I’d wear it as a dress as in typical FP fashion it’s s h o r t !!!! But with skinnies and boots it will look great as a loose billowy top. I’ll do a Lacey bra under it. I love the deep vee front too-very flattering.
All in all a greet buy for $29.97 and free shipping!
