Take an extra 30% off Anthropologie’s newest sale cuts

In a shopping mood? I sure hope so, because there are lots of amazing new promotions happening today! Later today, we’ll take about Madewell’s 15% off promotion (if you can’t wait this recent post has picks) but first, Anthropologie has taken tons of new markdowns and made all sale an extra 30% off!! No code required; discount reflects at checkout.

Combined with the Free Shipping on orders of $150+ for Anthro loyalty members, this makes sale very tempting. Some items that I’d been holding off on like the Off-The-Shoulder Eyelet Blouse (now $60 + 30% off) are likely coming home to me to at least try on.

Let’s take a look at some more of the most tempting new sale items…

Although short, the Emery Lace Top (now $50 + 30% off) could look very cute with a pair of high-waisted jeans. So many of Anthropologie’s tops are so overly flowy, boxy and cropped so it’s all about smart styling to make them work…if it’s even worth it to make it work. I wasn’t much interested in the Estelle Plaid Tank (now $40 + 30% off) at full price, but now and having seen how cute it looks with jeans I’m taking the plunge. I’ll wear it with my Faravel Moto Jacket ($148) to define my waist.

The Gingham Halter Top (now $50 + 30% off) is another cute yet shapeless top that could look great on with some waist-defining help.

Over in dresses it’s mostly a sad tale about Anthro cutting corners in production by not making fit-and-flares. Womp womp. No tailoring for us! Sorting through the sea of boxy and ugly is a bit depressing so I’ve picked out a few dresses that are cute to save you the agita.

Above, the Mattie Yarn-Dyed Tunic Dress (now $100 + 30% off) is a sad sack. But a belt (like this one, also new to sale today or perhaps this one) takes it from sad to super. If you are small-busted then WHIT TWO’s Sage Bell-Sleeve Dress (now $140 + 30% off) is an absolute beauty of a dress. Another dress better for smaller busts (due to how low-cut the front is) is the Riona Embroidered Dress (now $150 + 30% off). Apparently those of with large chests can just go eff ourselves with the way Anthro is designing these days. ?

For all body types, the Gardenia Lace Column Dress (now $100 + 30% off) is an exquisite, beautifully tailored dress. So one dress got it right! I sized up in this one. If you feel like taking a chance, the Lawn Party Midi Dress (now $90 + 30% off) has terrible reviews but sizing down might help as the indication is it runs very large.

If you don’t mind dye that can potentially run in the wash, the Relaxed Chino Pants (now $60 + 30% off) fit great and are a nice modern take on chinos. I have the moss shade and despite my laundry prowess, they have in fact gotten dark dots on them over time.

Not a fan of the shoes here, but there are tons of cute pairs new to sale today including the Palm Print Block Heel Sandals (now $90 + 30% off), the Pragma Slides (now $60 + 30% off) and the glorious Billy Ella Striped Lace-Up Heels (now $100 + 30% off) which I’ve included in my sale order.

All these items and more in my Anthropologie sale picks boutique below. If you’re not tempted by sale you can check out yesterday’s post on new Anthro arrivals, and tomorrow we’ll discuss parent company Urban Outfitter’s quarterly results.

Great suggestions in a desert of choices! I ordered a few things: cotton bandanas, the Intentionally Blank City Chelsea Boots in a new size since the ones I ordered are small, the Miranda Bib necklace and am trying the Remy Wrap top in pink though am hoping the gray pops back. My birthday discount is next month and usually I am excited by fall choices…..but this might be a money-saving year! Also on crutches and can't drive for 8 weeks so …. limited chances to a) go to a store and b) try anything on without keeling over…. again, money-saving opportunity!

IOoh – the quarterly report! Very much looking forward to that post! 🙂

I'm getting another pair of the beaded acomedia hoops, as they are very light and pretty. Thinking about the Anastasi dress too.

I also recommend this silk blouse, even though it didn't work for me. The colors are gorgeous and vibrant, the silk is nice and it actually works better on the shoulder. TTS https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/floral-silk-of

Looking forward to your post, Roxy.

When I was googling what happened to Glen Senk and Keith Johnson, I came across this article and thought of you because of the horse connection: https://sidelinesnews.com/weekly-featured/glen-se

Great article!! I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Senk once and saw him compete in the Hamptons Classic (while attending to see other friends showing) previously. I'd also met Mr. Johnson more than twice at Anthro events. They seem like a very cool couple!

Definitely missing their leadership at Anthro these days…

I know this is not a sale item but what in the world is this thing and who on earth would pay that amount for it….the Ivonne Tiered Jacket. What is going on Anthro?

Oh lord, too bad I already wrote my Q2 quarterly call post, lol. That would have fit right in with one of the sections.

I don't don't even think I could be paid $518 to even wear that!

I read reviews on Anthro products more often than not and honestly I am very surprised that there are many many reviews from women 50 years and older. I hope I am going to be fashion forward like that when I am older :). I think its the middle segment (32-45) that Anthro is not catering to anymore.

    • August 18, 2017 / 9:30 am

That is very interesting! I also wonder if younger women are less likely to leave reviews?

Most of the sale selections are so awful. It seems 90% of sale is unwearable. I'm also more interested in purchasing for fall, so perhaps this is part of my disinterest. Saving money for September.

    • August 18, 2017 / 9:32 am

There is a lot of really awful stuff right now!

So funny how everyone seems ready for Fall. Part of me is, but part of me is also enjoying these last days (and ok, last deals too) of Summer!

I got a PA on my Havana floral dress ( woot!!) and got the Giulia lace top. A really pretty top for $27. Will look great in the fall with denim.
I may take my kiddos to the King of Prussia mall today and while I'm there see if the Anthro there has any goodies. Yesterday while checking the sale I just kept scrolling….and scrolling… and there was nothing I had to have.

Crossing my fingers that the selection is better in stores. I'll probably visit the Boulder Anthropologie at least once while I'm out here!
