I didn’t plan for this to be such an Anthropologie-heavy week on the blog, but here we are as they’ve launched an Anthro Day promo weekend featuring 20% off full-price items and the last day of Free Shipping, no minimum. No code required for either promo; the discount will reflect at checkout.
But how to navigate the exhaustion of searching through all the weird stuff that Anthro is carrying right now? I’ve rounded up some picks that are sure to delight.
I think I’ve figured it out. Anthropologie is allergic to their own good stuff. Take the uninspired styling of the very very good Geneva Anorak ($148 + 20% off, above). Washed out photo? Lame dress underneath? You are killing yourselves Anthropologie! In truth the jacket is much darker and much prettier than it looks here. (See the jacket styled quite cutely in this post.)
The jackets section is where you’ll find some classics, like the Faravel Moto Jacket ($148 + 20% off, on me 1 | 2 | 3) or the Tamsyn Jacket ($138 + 20% off) and some of their trendier takes like the Renley Handkerchief Jacket ($128 + 20% off) and the Souza Embroidered Jacket ($178) work.
In the dress section, I’ve dug through and come up with some good options — so many of the cute dresses are online only! Which makes this promo a prime time to try them. I’m ordering the Ursa Velvet Wrap Dress ($345 + 20% off — this brand runs small on curves, I usually take a 14 instead of a 8 or 10) for sure, and the Striped Poplin Dress ($158 + 20% off) too. I can only hope they are both as pretty in real life as they look on the screen.
If you don’t own the Carissima Sheath ($258 + 15% off) yet now’s a great time to get it at a discount! Thanks for the heads up! I was tempted to order some things, but my cart keeps emptying itself out and I don't have the energy to fight with it. Of course nothing I want is available in stores. Sigh.
This kept happening to me yesterday and I wrote to Anthro for the millionth time explaining that I cannot buy anything if my cart keeps emptying or, like yesterday, I can only put one item in, then it empties when I put the next item in. PLUS I have to sign into my account every single time I go to the website and even during a session I have to sign in again and again. Must be a message to me to wander over to FP where these problems do not exist!
YES! That's exactly how it goes for me, too. You can only add one thing and once you navigate away, the cart is empty. Same with the login. Navigate away from the landing page after logging in and you're out again.
I remember reading about this here weeks ago. I can't believe they haven't fixed this. The shopping cart is kind of a critical feature when you want people to… you know… shop.
I guess I don't need these sneakers and jacket that badly, because I'm too lazy to try if it'll work on my phone.

Would you say the undertones of the Geneva Anorak are warmer/muddier or cooler? The photo looks like a warm khaki green, but your picture looks much cooler.
Otherwise I've emptied my own cart because at this point I really need to love and need an item (or not need it, but really really really love it and be able to incorporate it into my existing wardrobe). The shoes I'm still waffling on even with free shipping.
I ordered some Elysess shoes for fun..and also the Florentina midi, AG sateen black ankle jeans, Ruffle sleeve gingham top by SeenKeptWorn, Jays Cape jacket by Cartonnier, and High low V neck pullover in the green color. We shall see what actually works!
I ordered the Kira Long Kimono jacket and the Pintucked Lace Tunic. Hope they work out! Love the overlapping promos.

What is wrong with Anthro's website?
It's exhausting trying to place an order when I have to keep signing in. Several things have sold out I would have liked to purchase if I could actually add them to my cart and check out = /
I do love the Allison Embroidered tunic dress, Trimmed Peasant dress, Aiza Lace dress, and the Faravel Moto jacket in the charcoal grey and camo colorways…

If you are using a laptop, try rebooting, and/or deleting cookies, running disk cleanup. That seemed to settle things down for me.

I love the ursa velvet wrap dress but my size (8 I think – I generally am a 6 or 8) is sold out. Pooh. If it really does fit small, maybe I can go for a 10.

I bought two pairs of Paige jeans for under $40 each–the Verdugo and the Bell Canyon High Rise Flare–and they fit perfectly! I’m new to high-end denim, and I now understand why they’re in such high demand; the fit is amazing!
Paige jeans and shorts are my favorites. For me the fit is the best and they are just so comfortable.

Just got my September catalog in the mail and I think it's better than I've seen in a while. The clothes are still mostly goddawful but the layout and the vibe are like old Anthro catalogs. Shoes are fabulous, though.

That's good to know Nam, we had a major storm here in the South Bay when it was raining like crazy after our long drought and unfortunately dozens of houses were flooded out not too far from where we live, it was so sad and terrible but nothing like what's happening in Texas. I've never been to Texas, only Arizona and Hawaii. I used to live in Arizona when I was a kid and spent a few Summers there later in Flagstaff where the mountains are. I used to love the snow there and sometimes still miss it:) I know Texas will pull through, from what I hear Texans are tough!

A little off topic, but I miss the days of popbacks. There are a bunch of things I've missed getting in the past and check sometimes hoping it will come back even though I know it's useless. Haha.

I just bought the best new pumpkin candle from Capri Blue and it's gorgeous when it's all lit up! I couldn't wait for the Autumn candles to start appearing because they are simply the best!
