This weekend: complete the look

Done with clothes shopping for the time being? No worries, because this weekend brings tons of chances to finish or refresh a look with pretty accessories under $150 (and many under $100). I’m looking to recreate this entire cute J. Crew look for a post-beach afternoon tomorrow, featuring the Silk tie-shoulder peplum top ($78), the Strawberry Earrings ($38), the Denim skirt with raw hem ($70), the Franny sunglasses (now $80-$128) and the Leather lace-up sandals ($88 + 30% off).

J. Crew is running a 30% off promo this weekend on select shoes. (Code: MOREPLEASE.) I own and highly recommend the Embellished slides ($98 + 30% off) and the Colette suede d’Orsay pumps (now $238 + 30% off), and will likely pick up the Lace-up suede sandals (now $60-$80) soon, though they are excluded from the promotion. After you check out the shoes head over to jewelry where very cute earring options like the Beaded ball earrings ($65) seen above with the Tie-neck top in striped silk ($78), or the Strawberry Earrings ($38) seen in the photo topping this post. More of my J.Crew favorites can be found in this recent post.

Madewell too is overflowing with cute accessories, topped on my list by both versions of the small pom-pom zip pouch ($23), seen above in dusty rose. The paint-splatter clutch I’ve featured in several recent OOTDs is now on sale — I adore all the pockets and slots inside! Cute new bag arrivals at Madewell include this vacation clutch and this mini shoulder bag. More on Madewell next week!

Over at Anthropologie today is Anthro Day, which means you get 20% off your purchase! I would recommend the the Linen Swing Top ($68) but the page has gone fiddlesticks (le sigh Anthropologie) so instead I’ll bring your attention to the earringsbracelet and watch (also available here and here in pink) shown with the top which are very cute in their own right! In fact I’d encourage you to check out the jewelry and accessories sections which are more appealing to me than the clothing right now anyway. This scarf and this one for instance? A total delight in real life.

Over at Free People you’ll find plenty of accessories to love for under $100, like the Santa Clara Tote (now $70) which recently hit sale. You can see it with a model for sizing reference on FP’s site. I love their huge selection of Vegan bags which features everything from minis to oversized totes for under $80. Some of my favorites include the Logan Vegan Perforated Tote ($68, on me here); the Twin City Vegan Crossbody ($30, on me here); the Seville Vegan Satchel ($68, on me here) and the Reversible Vegan Crossbody ($42) which you’ll see in an upcoming post. I recently rounded up more of what I’m loving at Free People right now.

Boden is also running a primo promo this weekend, which we’ll cover more tomorrow. Are you doing any shopping this weekend?

I had a J Crew cart filled up and ready to go. How did you know? 🙂 I may add that orange silk top to it. It's pretty! Going to try the merino tank too.

That is probably the only store I'm going to shop at. I took another look at my Anthro wishlist and there really isn't anything that can't wait until 1st cut – even jewelry.

Off Topic: Roxy or anyone else, do you have any updates on the tag sale? It usually starts sometime in June if I remember correctly.

I have actually been really pleased with jcrew recently. I have the colette d'orsays in 3 colors (blue, back and tan), the gingham suit, a number of t shirts and recently purchased a dress for work. They are not my go to for fun wear but I have been using them to fill out my work attire.

Echoing everyone ones…been loving jcrew and Madewell lately! Anthro has been less than thrilling for me. Even with the antho day promotion there is nothing I want/need from that store!
