Those shoes you’re seeing everywhere

I finally caved and got the Adidas Superstars for myself after seeing them everywhere!

It’s funny how each season it seems like there are a few items that I see everywhere. In retailers’ catalogs. On my fellow bloggers. All around me walking around the city. It can’t be coincidence, can it? There must be something wonderful about these items to see them again and again.

In this post, I’m examining some of the cute pairs of Spring and Summer shoes I’m seeing all over…

Take Dolce Vita’s Effie Sandals ($122-$150) for instance. I feel like I’m seeing these cute heeled sandals everywhere. They come in three colors: a nearly-white land brown called sand, a medium brown and a darker brown. I haven’t seen them look any way but cute yet, no matter whether they are paired with jeans, crops, a skirt or shorts. If you wear heels you’ll find these quite comfortable — I don’t even need arch support with them. They run true to size.

Here are some of my favorite stylings of them. Click the caption below the photo to visit these sites and get the full outfit details.

As you can see these heeled delights work in any number of ways. Shop the Dolce Vita Effies here.
At 5’8″, I don’t need to use my shoes for extra height, but I do find wedges to be ultra comfortable. The Jeffrey Campbell Rayos-Hi Wedge ($145, also available here) is one of two incredibly similar wedges the brand offers; there is also a higher heel version called the Rodillio (also available here). The difference? In general, the Rayos is much easier to wear and doesn’t bunch up around the ankle as often as the higher-pitch Rodillo.
Below are some beautiful bloggie friends wearing the Rayos, and one rocking the Rodillo. Click the caption below the image to get their full outfit details — and follow them for outfit inspiration!

These wedges have a fun bohemian style that works very well with either preppy outfits or soft, flirty feminine looks. I love all the proportion play these ladies show off! Shop the Jeffrey Cambell Rayos Wedge here.

The cutest sandal for Summer might be Sam Edelman’s Henna Slide ($63-$90), which comes in both a flat version and taller mule called the Yumi. After these lovely blogger photos (click the caption below the photo to see the original photos for full outfit details!) I’ll share secret about the Henna and how to get it for much less.

Both the slide sandals and the heeled mules run true to size. You can shop the Henna Slide Sandal here and the Yumi mule here. As promised, there is also a way to get the sandals for much less — there’s a fantastic dupe $25! It’s available in 4 colors but 2 are currently sold out online.
Here are a few of my other favorite omni-present shoes:
1 | The Adidas Superstars ($60-$190) — see them here, outfit idea here. Size down 1/2 a size in these.
2 | The Marc Fisher Adalyne ($170, also available here) — a dupe of a designer wedge from Chloe, for about 1/3 the price. The blush is my favorite color!
3 | Converse’s Jack Purcell LP ($30-$96, also here) — comfy, perfect low sneakers for those days when your feet need to be covered but you don’t want to wear heavy shoes. You barely even need the laces on these!
