It’s one of my favorite times of the year — Sephora’s Spring Rewards period has begun! If you participate in the Beauty Insiders rewards program you should have received a 10% off coupon via email or snail mail; VIB insiders get 15% off and VIBRouge insiders get 15% off too.
The rewards are valid in-store or online through April 24.
Inside, my top 15 picks that I’d use my 15% off on…
Here are some of my favorite makeup and beauty items at Sephora, that I own or plan to pick up during this promotion:
1 | NARS is my absolute favorite makeup brand and I’ve been looking forward to this Sephora promo so I could stock up on some of my favorites from them. First up, I’m looking forward to grabbing a few of my favorite summer foundation, the light and shine-reducing Velvet Matte Skin Tint ($45). This is a very light skin tint (you’ll see it on me in Friday’s OOTD, here it is on me) that evens out my redness beautifully without completely hiding my freckles. If you like your concealer a little more opaque, I recommend the All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation ($49); if you want something even lighter than the tint go for the Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer ($45), which is what I use in highest summer on those days when I can’t take anything on my face.
2 | Another NARS item I cannot live without — in a superficial sense — is their Audacious Lipstick ($34), which I get asked about all the time! It is lightweight yet covers completely, doesn’t bleed, and lasts all day. My favorite shade is Claudia, a light bright pink I’m wearing in my most recent OOTD. It’s my top recommendation because I often wear it over other colors to make them softer. My other favorite colors are Liv — a dark purpleish pink, Olivia — a slightly darker than candy apple red, Fanny — a warm dark pink and Kate — a medium pink.
3 | A friend recommended Clarins’ Super Restorative Night Age Spot Correcting Replenishing Cream ($135, online only) to me, and I’m loving it. My skin had been drying out over the winter, especially my face, because our bed is so close to the radiator, and this cream has been helping me stay moisturized without tipping into oily or broken out.
4 | Also from Clarins, the Super Restorative Total Eye Concentrate ($85) has been good for fighting the bags under my eyes from lots of sleepless nights recently! It firms the skin without drying it out.
5 | Want your guy to smell amazing too? I can’t say enough good things about BLEU DE CHANEL Eau de Parfum ($90), which I got for Alex for Christmas and he gets stopped on the street to get asked where he got it! It has a fabulous woodsy scent that is not overwhelming. The BLEU DE CHANEL After Shave Lotion ($60) is also great, I got this for him too and it’s all I can do to stop kissing him post-shave in the morning, he smells so great! Your guy will love how light and not greasy it feels.
6 | For me, I’m partial to Chloe scents. My favorite is the Chloé Signature Gift Set ($138), which gives you a full size of their Eau de Parfum and a little travel size, plus the body lotion that makes my skin so amazingly smooth! Their Roses De Chloé ($70) is my typical summer scent.
7 | Unfortunately some of my coworkers are very allergic to floral-scented perfumes, so when I’m at the office I usually turn to the Daisy Rollerball Coffret ($45) from Marc Jacobs — they are great for travel and I can switch from the Daisy Dream (berries scent) during work to one of the other two more floral-toned scents for the evening. The Daisy Dream full size bottle is also beautiful.
8 | I am loyal to NARS for just about all my makeup, but the best mascara I’ve found is Clinique’s Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara ($18). I get the Jumbo Jet color. It is perfect for people like me who have long lashes with blonde tips, and my friend with short lashes raves about it too. I’m allergic to most mascaras unfortunately and I’ve found I can wear this one all day and almost never itches.
9 | Although NARS is my favorite lippie, another brand I love to use to mix things up is Tom Ford. His Soleil Lip Foil ($53) is super fun on (Aperture and Venus Rising are my faves) and his Lip Color ($53) are robust, vivid colors that draw attention right to my lips (I like Guilty Pleasure and Violet Fatale).
10 | NARS’s Blush ($30) is one of the best-known and most-used makeup products out there. Orgasm is the color that gets talked about the most, but I’ve found Desire is actually the best color on my fair skin, especially once I have foundation on.
11 | I use the blush in combination with NARS’s Bronzing Powder ($40) in Laguna, year-round to balance out the light foundation color I require with the darker tones in my fair skin.
12 | I also love, love, love the NARS Multiple ($39), which I often use as eyeshadow, blush and lipcolor. My favorite colors are Copacobana, Portofino and Na Pali Coast.
13 | Of course, it would be remiss of me not to mention the Urban Decay Naked Eye Palettes during this promotion! My personal favorite is the pink tones of Naked3 Palette ($54), while if you prefer a wider range of color options I’d say go for Naked2 Palette ($54).
14 | If I knew how to do a smoky eye better (I can fake it fairly well, but darker undertones are hard for me still!) I’d love to have the Naked Smoky Palette ($54). Maybe I’ll get it anyway and use this as my excuse to really learn how to do a smoky eye right.
15 | Have a lot of hair and not a lot of time to dry it? Though expensive, the Dyson Special Edition Supersonic Hair Dryer Set ($400) is worth every penny, and can be a little less thanks to this promo.
