It’s not the surprise Anthro Day weekend I was hoping for, but Anthropologie has launched a new promotion this morning — most full-price tops are now 25% off with the code LAYERS, and you’ll get Free Shipping on orders of $150+ with that same code!
This promo isn’t surprising as the tops section is overflowing right now…does anyone else feel that 5 pages of tops is way too much? Especially when the styling ideas in the model shots seem to be “wear this top with jeans! Or pants! Or, ummmm, joggers!!” Along with how many cropped, bell-sleeve, cold-shoulder or off-shoulder tops there are. Too many options, not nearly enough complete layered looks for chilly to cold weather.
That said, of course I have picks anyway! Inside, tops to try or buy and how you might wear them…
Here are some of Anthropologie’s promo-included tops I like right now and how to style them…
1 – The Sigrid Blouse ($128, topping post). TTS. Wear it over a mini skirt with a cardigan.
2 – The Thea Ruffled Peplum Top ($48, above). Size down. Pair it with velvet and a comfy scarf loop.
3 – The Auralis Lace Top ($148). Size down. Wear it over a slip dress.
4 – The Audrey Peplum Pullover ($148). TTS. Rock this with a killer pair of jeans and sleek heels.
5 – The Neves Off-The-Shoulder Pullover ($118). Runs large. Pair with a pencil skirt.
6 – The Laceline Off-The-Shoulder Top ($78). Size down. Call it a dress and wear it over a slip! (Longer.) Add a cardi jacket for a complete casual-sexy look.
7 – The Chanson des Fleurs Blouse ($88). Anthro styled this one perfectly in my book. But that skirt is sold out, so how about this one instead?
8 – The Lace-Line Tee ($68). Size down. Wear this with medium or light-wash jeans and a vest. I’m a big fan of the Lapka Vest from a few years ago which you can find on the EA FB trade market or eBay — I’d link to it but Anthropologie still hasn’t fixed product links. Eye roll.
9 – The Lacework Shell ($78). TTS. I love wearing mine over a cami with coated jeans.
10 – The Purple Haze Blouse ($198). TTS. Wear it with velvet joggers, and a cute cardi.
