Free People’s best promo of the year is happening TONITE

It’s like Black Friday one week early, tonite only at Free People. In-store or online.

It’s the most wonderful night of the year — for Free People that is. Tonight only from 6-10 PM ET you can take 20% off your Free People purchase of $200-$499 or 25% off your purchase of $500. This promotion is valid both in-store (check your store’s hours here) or online. If you want to shop a little early, the promo starts at 5:30 PM on the Free People iPhone app.

Free People only runs this promotion once or twice a year, and whatever its Black Friday deal ends up being it probably won’t be nearly this good. (Last year it was an extra 25% off sale, in-store only on Friday and then over the weekend online.)

Inside, my picks…

Coal Tall Boot ($350) — come to mama!

What to buy with this promo? My god, SO MUCH. Let’s start with boots. Although I’ve already got enough tall boots in my closet I’m so tempted to make room for items like the Auburn Tall Boot ($398 — omg that plum!), the River Bend Tall Boot ($248), the Joe Lace Up Boot ($298), the Coal Tall Boot ($350) with its cool back-leather-string details, the buttery Florentine Tall Boot ($555), or the yummy wedge of the Salina Tall Wedge Boot ($350). Believe me, I could easily keep going! Speaking of wedges I also really like the Peaks Point Wedge ($138) which gives the height of a heel in a more comfy walking option.

A fantastic date necklace: the Delicate Chain Choker Bolo ($28).

Another area I really love shopping at Free People is their jewelry. I recently purchased the Delicate Chain Choker Bolo ($28) which looks amazing on dates with a deep v-neckline and the Mirella Drop Choker ($38). I’m digging a lot of FP’s chokers right now, like the Libi Stone Choker ($138), the Nora Stone Draped Choker ($258) and the Goodnight Moon Sapphire Choker ($208).

I also adore their longer necklaces, like the Oleria Tie Necklace ($138), the Dany Tiered Drop Collar ($38), the Triple Bar Necklace (now $70), the Waterfalls Necklace ($38) and the Riley Layered Bolo ($38). Part of me just wants to go for it all and splurge on the Black Diamond V Lariat ($1038)!

A slinky little frock called the Anniversary Dress ($78) tops my FP clothing wishlist.

Somehow I haven’t even mentioned clothing yet? Time to fix that! My wishlist is too long to spell out here so I’ll just mention a few of my favorites, like the sleek Anniversary Dress ($78) above. I’m totally drooling over the beautiful Like A Diamond Dress ($250). The Floral Mesh Lace Dress ($128) is pretty. On the casual side I really like the NSF Destroyed Boyfriend Jean ($298). And I will definitely be picking up the Secret Origins Pieced Lace Tunic ($128) or its short-sleeved cousin the Cross My Heart in Lace Tunic ($108).

What’s on your Free People wishlist right now?
