Investigating Anthropologie’s newest Summer 2015 arrivals

I’m not sure if I actually like the Lacefall Dress ($628) or not, but I certainly love the styling here!

Earlier this week we covered all the goodies in Anthropologie’s just-launched June 2015 Lookbook. Now it’s time to examine some of the other recent new arrivals that have landed on my wishlist…or given me a good giggle.

Today is also the last day for FREE SHIPPING NO MINIMUM. (Use the code 2DAYTREAT at checkout.) Many of the picks inside are online exclusives, in case you need a little extra incentive to try them out…

Bubbly Swing Dress ($138)
This frock looked so promising,
but the sole online review
seems to confirm my worst fears.

Sila Wrap Dress ($295)
This dress is on sale at Lord & Taylor right now; take an ANOTHER 25% at L&T off
with the code FRIENDS

Skyway Dress ($228)

Aside from the section-topping Denim Ruffle Dress ($148), none of these dresses are must-haves for me. Though if I’m being completely honest I’d really like to get any and all of these to wear for various different occasions, from summer date night to weekend day at the farmer’s market to my upcoming vacation in Hawaii.

Of the dresses above the Encinitas Dress ($138) is pulling me towards the beach; the Sila Wrap Dress ($295) looks perfect for summer dates (and as noted in its box is on sale with an extra 25% off at Lord & Taylor right now) while the Skyway Dress ($228) is too adorable for words. Perfect for weekend days, no?
However, it’s worth noting the continuing overflow of swing dresses (tired), maxi dresses (I own enough) and shorty short-short dresses. Where are the cotton fit and flares? The summer tweeds? The…really good stuff? None of this is making me jump around with delight.

For example, I’m totally in love with this Free People dress. So in love with it that I sought it out locally to try on and possibly purchase. I didn’t end up buying it because it’s too damn short on me…I wish Anthropologie had a slightly-more grown-up version of this. A little longer and it would be perfection!

Confession: I want that entire Pleated Posies Tank ($488) outfit. I LOVE IT. That is all.

And how cute is the scooter-adorned version of the Enna Tank ($68)? I can see wearing the Cutwork Mesh Buttondown ($98) over my bikini at the beach — or to and from. The Ingleside Pullover ($88) has a couple of cousins over at Free People, and while I probably shouldn’t like that shirt style I do. I really really do! Anthropologie’s tops section is slowly becoming ever more promising.

I’m a total sucker for these confetti-style tops, like the Cropped Confetti Top ($345).

And then of course it’s nice to see that Anthropologie hasn’t completely lost its sense of the ridiculous either. How about these next two outfits? (Plenty of shoe and bag porn afterwards to cleanse the palette.)

Tasseled Linen Crops ($188)
I don’t actually want these. I just think
they are so ridiculous I had to share.
Say it with me: Tasseled. Linen. Crops.
Who thought these were a good idea?

Cutwork Joggers ($128)
Ahem, ditto.
This woman is going camel-riding after emerging from her Bentley and complaining how HOT it is…in the desert.

What’s new to your wishlist? What do you like, not like, or love from Anthropologie’s recent new arrivals?
