Off topic: Shopping victory found me during Bloomingdale’s Friends & Family promo

So tempted by this beautiful goddess dress from BCBG.

Anthropologie may not be having a sale today (though the extra 20% off sale promo continues) but plenty of other retailers are doing their best to tempt me into shopping! This past weekend I took advantage of Blooomingdale’s Friends & Family promo to pick up some workout gear and new bras. Inside, what I got and a bunch of other things I’m wishing for right now.

First up, what I did buy. I’ve been looking for a lacy t-back bra for awhile and Natori’s Feathers Bra ($66) fit the bill perfectly. Not only does this bra come in a wide range of sizes, I was delighted to discover that my local Bloomingdale’s (which yes admittedly is the 59th Street Flagship and Soho locations in NYC) carried pretty much every size including my true size 32DD! Normally I settle for a 34D bra which works though the band can be loose. I found this bra to run TTS and was able to pick up a 32DD in a couple of colors along with the matching hipster. I’ve noticed that Anthropologie and Nordstrom carry the bra and hipsters too, though Anthro doesn’t carry the 32DD because whhhhyyyy.

I also picked up some more printed workout tights…yes I’m obsessed. Partially for good reason. Running season is here once again — my first half-marathon of the year is at the end of April — and while I usually run either in Central Park, up the west side path or the east side esplanade, or over the Brooklyn or Manhattan bridges, sometimes I do have to run across streets to get to those paths. The light after work doesn’t last long enough for me to make my entire run before night falls. A friend of mine was recently hit by a taxi while running across the street!! She’s fine thank god, no broken bones or lingering injuries. Just a few really nasty cuts and bruises. Afterwards she realized that part of the problem was she was wearing entirely black and a few little reflective dots don’t help on poorly lit city corners.

I realized that likewise nearly all my running crops are black and my compression jacket is also black, so I made it a goal to pick up some more colorful gear so I’m visible at night. To that end I bought the ridiculously neon Nike pants you see above and the Onzie crops next to them. The pants are nothing short of amazing. I love the colors and they make my butt look incredible according to a combination of biased (my guy) and unbiased (my running guys) sources. I have suddenly amassed about 8 pairs of Onzie crops so some are going back, though I do really like the print on this particular pair…

Below are some of the other goodies currently in my ever-growing dream wishlist. I’m in need of a new pair of both black and nude pumps, as well as some new cute flats. If I buy anything else that would be it. The Tibi dress below though…good lord I want it!!

One more deal I want to quickly mention. TODAY ONLY you can take $125 off your Cusp.com order of $500 more using the code MAR125 via this link. This deal isn’t being publicized as far as I know and it’s a pretty sweet one! The code is valid today only and online only. My top three picks would be this pretty Tibi silk maxi, this fab crepe Parker dress (I have it in two other colors already, perhaps it’s time for a third!) and this sensible Vince silk work dress.

Can you tell I’ve got a bit of the shopping bug right now? Have you shopped Bloomie’s Friends & Family? Does the CUSP offer tempt you?
